How to Change KQI3 Battery

Wounderful video. Six months ago I purchased the Niu KQI3 Pro which came with poor quality tires. Well I have multiple leaks on the rear tire which couldn't be plugged and if it wasn't for your video i wouldn't of known what it takes to replace the tire. There's no store around that will even attempt to fix these scooters. I just ordered a new tire. hope i can do the repair. My advise to potential purchasers. Don't waste your hard earned cash.

I bought a 5 gallon bead seater and 8 gallon air compresser to help me with this project and it made it 100× easier. I am blessed before I spend countless hours messing with tire and got no where except pissed off But now I am a changed man lol. You can go ahead and tell every body imma man I'm a man im a man. Fuck I rebuild the hub wheel with a y winding change out my controller doubles my speed ...I sure can't do a battery 😊😊😊😊😊😊

Do you happen to know what it means when the blue light on the battery flashes? I cannot get my scooter to turn on so I opened it up to check the connections. The charger turns red for a second then to green when 1st connected then inside the battery LED flashes maybe 10 times then stops. No matter what I do I cannot get the scooter to turn on. Bought this second hand so no warranty to fall back on.

To fix the issue, disconnect the black and red wire from the battery. Then wait for a minute then reconnect. Your scooter should turn on after that

Yes not taking lots of photos and rushing into my first scooter breakdown and not researching as much information as possible. In the end $800 see you later! If you fail once dont give up. I've failed on 3 scooters it takes time and we all fcuk things up. But this lad made it look piss easy. Now I own a kqi3 Sport it's the only one I haven't dissemble. I'm happy with tuning

I have a KQI3 Max coming and I imagine it's close. I have done phone mods and other electronics mods, so I figure this won't be terrible in a year or two, but my question is do you have links where you purchased the new controller? Thanks, this is what I needed! I'm just wondering if it's possible to connect a wire to the battery to recharge all the accessories I've attached to the scooter (such as lights and turn signals)? I asked this question on Reddit and was told I should not mess with the front light wire as it has low voltage/current and attaching more things to it might overload it. How do you think I should proceed?

Hi mate any chance you could help me, I bought a this scooter second hand and it’s not working, the scooter is stuck in e save mode and will not come out, it’s stuck on dynamic riding as well, and when you go into the NIU app it says “ NO battery” even though it has a fully charged battery on it, I’ve tried ressetting the app, unbinding the scooter and re bind, I have charged the battery for 72 hrs, it shows fully charged on the scooter display, I have also put a multi meter on the battery terminals and we confirmed it works and is fully charged, I work for a motorcycle dealership called on the wheel and NIU operate out of our same building and even their technicians have no idea why it won’t work, thanks

BMS stops any further charge anyway , have no worries . On a side note and different topic but thought it would help , on higher end scoots like the Vsett 10+ having regen braking on while the battery is already full has proven it can make the controller fail which is an awfull $150 down the drain unless you've got a nice dealer and still covered by warranty .

I think it’s not hardware limited. As you say it’s unlocking full speed when you flash it to the US-Software. My kqi3 Max is running 38 km/h with a full battery 👍

So when I turn on kqi3 max the heals light stays on and there’s 12 red dots in the screen anyone has any idea what’s wrong I bought the scooter used knowing it had issues but don’t know where to begin also when I try rolling it to my van it started beeping and noticed back tire wasn’t spinning ???

It’s locked and in anti theft mode, you’ll need to unlock it in the app, but if you don’t have access, kinda SOL. Email NIU and see if they’ll unlock it for you.

same boat Bud , NIU app version 4.6.46 allows for non kick takeoff, and has cruise control - maintain any constant speed for 5 sec and you can let go of the throttle, disengages when braking or accelerating - let me know if you want a download link

What is that strange battery? 46 volts? I'd like to put my own battery in it, but I guess I can't. The battery has the data port and if I put my own in there then the scooter will probably not drive because the bms does not communicate with the controller, does it? Why are they all doing this? I already have 2 scooters where I drive a dead battery around with me just because they don't want to drive without a connection to the bms....

I notice this is poorly waterproofed comparatively to the kqi2. I don’t see any rubber seals around the battery cover to protect from water or dust. So many ways for water to get in. Regardless of it raining very lightly from above. The water on the floor would quickly get in and kill this scooter
