carbuyingtipscom because they didn’t explain specifically to have the metal key positioned to the left. I was trying to reach the plastic tab from the center of the key fob. Once I went to the left it popped right open. The other videos didnt say that!

My mechanical key did not go in on the left hand side of the slot. I used a very smallest Allen key to push down and it worked. Very good video. 👍🏼Most of the previous ones Ive seen are not very precise and descriptive.

Learn to use YELP and GoogleReviews. Once you have accomplished THAT write a review of the company at the address where you were back then ie., where this happened, the exact address. SLAM THEM HARD. Do not say WHEN this happened. It happened! Whether it was eight years ago or eight hours ago is not the point. Let your reviews sit there for as long as it takes for them to be noticed. Eventually the Dealership will respond. They NEED to be responsive to reviews on social media because when someone is looking for a Mercedes they'll read about variour dealerships in their area to decide where to go.

Tip: if you want the battery to last longer hold the key fob in your hand when you press the start button. The battery runs down quicker the further the fob is from the start button sensor. Same with auto-unlock door feature.

@@iSmileFX both functions utilize a radio signal to detect the digital fob code The further away, the more the energy drain of the device responding with the code. Same even with your TV IR remote. Longer distance from the receiver TV will drain the remote quicker. Breakout your multimeter and see for yourself.
