Do you not need to modify the siphon/Venturi tank system for it to work properly with the new pump?

Great video bud! however why din't you make a connector for it? in future if you plan to replace the pump you'll have to redo the wiring and solder back etc
@bradybuildz56324 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! I thought about it but at the time I didn't have any matching connectors and I needed to get the fuel pump back in the car. If I tear it back out again I for sure will go that route!

@@bradybuildz5632 Sounds good bud! yea i did that as well, i fitted an AEM pump back then and couldnt find the male connector for it so i had them sliced and used a new connector for it.

changing the fuel pump will do nothing to change your car unless you increase injectors and a tune to make use of that pump

This video is missing the most important part, drilling out the regulator and the jet-pump. Do not skip this step, read the CJ-motorsports PDF!

Checked it out and maybe you can tell me what size drill bit is equivalent to .070? Or 1.78 mm? Kind of useless info for drilling it all out when there's no drillbit sizes for the modification.

If I'm going with a Walbro 255 Lph pump, would I need a tune or would the car run as normal? I've searched around and others are saying I'd have to drill a bigger hole in the siphon jet and others say I would need a tune.
@bradybuildz56323 жыл бұрын
You're gonna want to do both, drill the hole but also as a rule of thumb any time you mess with fuel pumo or Injector size changes get a tune to ensure your car runs properly

I put a 320 in mine and had to grind diwn the clip pieces on the lower basket how did you get this to snap together
@bradybuildz56325 жыл бұрын
I had to make an adaptation to the section that holds the fuel pump, shorten that little basket and then a hose clamp is used to keep the pump in place instead of reusing that bottom clip
@accordfreak15 жыл бұрын
@@bradybuildz5632 i was about ask how is the fuel pump held in place of the missing bottom clip. what do you mean you shorten the little basket? Did you also leave the stock FPR in place or did you drill it?
@bradybuildz56325 жыл бұрын
@@accordfreak1 the basket which holds the fuel pump in place, I ended up have to trim that back. Then use a hose clamp to keep it in place instead of the end clip. The FRP I ended up drilling slightly larger. In hindsight I should create a part two to this explaining the special changes needed if going to a much bigger fuel pump. I had to make some changes to this setup a couple times before I fully got it right
