Those are called “tweels”

yes as Mike points out they are tweel tires by Michelin. Never have to worry about a flat with them!

If you put "Never seize" (napa) on the all your threads, blades, wheels, etc, before you put the nuts back on , removal even several years later is no problem. I've used it for many years and never had a nut come loose and removal has been easy, especially for an 75-year-old fella. Also, a block of wood against the mower deck held on with a clamp is much easier than a brick or 2 x 4 there are several videos on john Deere mower you tube that show this method.

Tool Man Tim had it right all along. Every job starts with new tools! Even if you have an air impact wrench and an air compressor you can't be using those anymore now that they have battery ones. Heck you can't even fill your tires up with an air compressor because now they have battery powered inflators. Why mess with the hose when you can spend $100?

How would you get to the middle blade. The outside blades would be no problem

I just slide the mower over further on the trailer and reach for it.

Do the blades have to be aligned or positioned a certain way? I changed my blades and now I have a strip of grass that doesn't get cut

I’ve been trying to get my blades off for 3 days now, I finally removed one, can’t get the other off. When I try to unscrew it, the bolt on the spindle turns also, what can I do?

That has happened to me on a couple of occasions. Sometimes I can hold it in place from the top, but normally I just take it in and have them fix it. I haven't been able to figure out how to fix it myself.
