Hey Great video, I just bought a used 2022 652R. You likely go some feedback on your video but I know from experience changing oil on my Arens snow blow that that brass oil drain plug does unscrew and shouldn't be pulled out of the rubber tube. You need two wrenches. One to hold the smaller nut closest to the rubber stationary then with the larger wrench unscrew the drain end.

It is funny how you don’t realize you are doing something wrong till you see it. It would be easer to drop the deck to one inch to clean it rather then on two and a half inches. Also I agree with the other commenter that they are sealed bearings and greasing them packs the space so water can’t enter, but you would have to hand pack the bearings . I wish I knew why JD included grease zerks, unless it is to charge when they do maintenance

I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. kzbin.infoUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

This is great to see. We paid our lawn guy to sod the area of our yard that was dug up from a sewage line and i don’t feel like he did it right. They didn’t square up the edges of the space and just laid the sod on top of the edges of the old grass instead of cutting it so it looks lumpy on the edges. He claims it will all even out eventually. It’s only been 5 days but I’m nervous. Tho the sod is taking root over the edges of the existing grass. It is Bermuda as well.

It's a 54" deck. Not sure on the size of the tires, but they work great. Been using them for quite a few years now, and it's all we buy anymore.

Looks like you did fine, however you can install belt by yourself. I start by installing on clutch first then route belt thru tensioner and all the idler pulleys and the 2 blade shieves leaving the middle shieve last. Pull on belt to move the spring to the most extended position and with the other hand slide belt around the middle shieve.
@chainsawcabinetshop4922 жыл бұрын
If you put "Never seize" (napa) on the all your threads, blades, wheels, etc, before you put the nuts back on , removal even several years later is no problem. I've used it for many years and never had a nut come loose and removal has been easy, especially for an 75-year-old fella. Also, a block of wood against the mower deck held on with a clamp is much easier than a brick or 2 x 4 there are several videos on john Deere mower you tube that show this method.

@Nonplused3 жыл бұрын
Tool Man Tim had it right all along. Every job starts with new tools! Even if you have an air impact wrench and an air compressor you can't be using those anymore now that they have battery ones. Heck you can't even fill your tires up with an air compressor because now they have battery powered inflators. Why mess with the hose when you can spend $100?
