how to change nissan titan rear axle seal and bearing

On the press it is backwards but assembled it is correct???

@@jamesu the race is supposed to go into the axle housing and bearing is pressed onto the axle itself. Im not rewatching video but from what I remember when I seen this he did it the oppostie. Will still work but its wrong.

What were the parts used? I have an 08 Titan SE and I’m looking to change my bearings and seals but can’t seem to find what part #’s for the 08-newer Titans

what if the race is stuck in the differential housing ive slide hammered mine cant get it come out.

Well done video. Answers a lot of my question and increases my confidence that i can pull this off (pun intended). This is on my agenda in the next couple of weeks. Couple of questions…did you seat the race for the bearing before final assembly? What part of the hub assembly did you have to heat up to get it out with the slide hammer? Face with studs in it or the axle tube? Thanks again for taking the time to make the video!

I heated the diff housing where the seal would be located and yes I seated the race before sliding the whole assembly in

Put a new vent on the rear axle that’s why the seal blows out.

My driver side will not come out. I've moved up to a 20 lb slide hammer. Still nothing. All bolts removed. Is their something inside the housing on the diff holding it on?

no it's just the seal and rust holding it together. have you tried applying some heat to soften the seal? I had to heat it to get mine apart

to pull the old bearing off? just cut it like I showed

@@billgoatgarage no it's inside the housing. I ordered the complete axle with bearings already pressed on.
