Great for the bridge, but never had a good shot of wrapping the posts. The words "come from the front" don't do much and the close shot was always obscured by his arm.

I use Thomastik KF110 Flatwound Strings because they'll save the frets from scratches

Sorry old chap I have to agree with everyone else. Remove the video and reissue in close up rather than you to far away you’re full torso rather than hands only. Taylor you know you can do better..... What would Bob say........

Your excellent steel restringing video is the best I've seen, I was able to handle all my guitars, acoustic as well as electric with ease and successful. But this nylon restringing video is so bad and useless, especially when it comes to the posts, you should take it of the net. Don't spoil your good name. And people are complaning about it for a long time, this irretates me!

The most important, trickiest part of this is the knot and most of these videos just gloss right over it and you can barely see what's being done. Some videos have the right angle but the dude's fingers get in the way. Someday I'll be able to remember the knot without checking 5 videos every time I restring but that day is not today.

How do I develop my to tune by ear like that ? Also some close ups on the twist direction and looping would’ve been great ....I dont use my nylon string often so string changes are years in between ...so I always look up “how to’s’ for best ways to wrap etc. this looks good but some more finer details would be great

I am a beginner playing a angel lopez model c1148s-ced classical guitar with factory installed strings, the bass strings are great, warm and mello, the higher strings are bright and the E actually almost tinny. Which strings should I buy to get that warm, rich mello sound across the set?

one string at a time. why risk unloading the guitar if you don't need to. loading or tension on the guitar neck should remain constant.

What a terrible video. How the heck can we see the wrapping when the camera is far away and your hand is in the way? I Thought I had worked it out but it just turns out that I have wasted a pack of strings

This is a great method, but a terrible demonstration. The videography is useless. It never shows him making this special wrap that he keeps talking about on the headstock. Not one close up or comment on which direction to wind (inboard or outboard) to optimize spoon clearance. He does give some good advice on leaving all string tags and tails long until you are happy with the stretching and tuning of the strings. Speaking of stretching, why doesn’t anyone show a good, fast, effective way to stretch the nylon strings, so they’ll stay in tune right away. It seems like mine “stretches” out of tune for about a week before it finally stays in tune. Constantly re-tuning brand new strings. There’s got to be a good, safe way to do this ?
