That cut quart bottle as a funnel is genius. Maybe it's a thing but this is the first time I've seen it.

First time doing in oil change on this 2003 F150. How are you position in your body, to be able to get your arm inside and Lucian that oil filter???

I used 5W30 for yrs till a bulletin from Ford to go with 5W20. Just the unnecessary resistance of the heavier oil shortened many engines lives…

try changing filter first, then drain the oil....game changer

I let some joker at Jiffy lube change my oil back in January (was -20F outside), and he put the wrong filter on. Not sure how he tightened it, but I Can't get a wrench up in there to save my life to get it loosened. I'm getting close to my second oil change since this incident- any suggestions on getting this guy out? There isn't much room in there to operate........silly Ford engineers!

5/20 seems like way too think oil for these engine. If it cold climate I’d say minimum 5-30 but thinking 5-40 probably best. My buddy runs 10-40

Did you put a synthetic blend or full synthetic or convential oil in the truck?

Is it in the same spot as 4x4 and do i need 5w30? Or 5w20? Manual says 5w30 but mechanic always puts in 5w20

Isn’t 5w20 too thin? I mean it’s a V8, I have a civic 1.7 that uses 15w40 or 10w40 how is it possible?

Is a pretty good video, but please please please do not prime your oil filters. I understand all the reasons why you may say that it's a better idea, but at the end of the day, the oil that lubricates the engine comes out of the centre of that oil filter while you just poured oil in. It sounds counterintuitive, but as far as particulate is concerned, of which the filter focuses its energy on, oil out of the bottle is one of the dirtiest oils that the engine will see. You just introduced about a cup of completely unfiltered oil to your cam and crank bearings. The only way to acceptably prime a fuel filter, unless it is a reverse flow filter which I am not familiar with any manufacturer's using today, is to very slowly pour oil in the small outer holes, and allow it to slowly trickle down last the one way valve. This is even more important if you have a turbo. A single grain of sand getting stuck in a turbo bearing could cost you a turbo, followed by the rest of the engine
