Username and password 🔑 is bios setup in motherboard Not in a Hard drive Hard drive is only for saving recordings If you wanted to reset your password and username or add new Takeout CMOS battery for 10 minutes and after that fix it's automatic default bios setup

Normally default username and password is admin If you cannot enter Try to takeout CMOS battery for 10 minutes and restart your DVR

My dvr restarts on its own at random times. I was told the hard drive could be corrupt. Will replacing this resolve the issue?

@ashk03 try to reset your dvr takeout CMOS Battery for 5 minutes After you plug your dvr go to system settings and reset device Your problem 100 percent will solve no need format hard drive
