You don't need to disassemble anything! Just take the first plastic cover you've shown off, slide the old filter out and the new one back in. That's it! 😜 You might need to snap the plastic connectors in the middle of the filter off to make it easier but it's designed to do that. I don't know why everyone is taking the glove box out. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Need to remove 6 torx screws, it is totally necessary to remove glows box.

In south africa we remove it on the driver side, next to the clutch pedal,no need to remove panels

Same in England! But even with the glove box on that side, you don't need to take it out.

Aye, same problem. Had a NIGHTMARE getting that glovebox unit out. Took all the screws out but it just didn't want to budge. Some bruteforce later, it dropped down and was able to see the clips at the top/back. This video is far too simplistic, but thanks. A detailed video showing the complete removal of the bottom dash / centre control covers, and then the whole top dash would be amazingly useful as I now need to remove / replace the blower (in the UK you have to do it from under the top of the dash... :/ )

Good reason never to buy a Renault. Absolutely ridiculous and complicated job to dismantle so much, just to get at the cabin filter. Obviously this will never be done in a service. Mechanics will just not bother.

Thank you for your reply. I have a 2018 Renault Talisman Initiale Paris 160 edc, and this is definitely the worst car I have ever had for changing the cabin filter. There is no information anywhere on the Internet or KZbin how to do it. Yesterday I took apart some of the trim like on this Meganne video, but it looks like the passenger glove box has to be removed and I have an OEM CD player in there with this Initiale Paris model. I wanted to fit a better quality cabin filter as my wife suffers from asthma and to change it more frequently, but I guess I will have to get the garage to do it......or change the car. This will certainly put me off buying another Renault and I will be very careful what I buy next.
