It is a big mistake to apply grease between the hub and brake disc. Every brake disc manufacturer expressly forbids this. These places are supposed to be just clean. Please correct the movie so that it does not mislead the viewer.

@@autodocuk Please read the brake disc assembly instructions. Manufacturers expressly prohibit the application of any grease at the contact point of the brake disc with the hub - in order to ensure proper seating of the brake disc on the hub (it is about assembly accuracy) By the way, copper grease should not be used on aluminum components of the brake system. A 2V electric cell is created between copper and aluminum, which accelerates electrochemical corrosion.

Great Video.....but you list that this is the procedure for an Abarth 500? If so the video is incorrect, as the caliper carrier is held on with allen bolts which are impossible to get at. Unless you remove the hole hub assembly😯! I shit you not I haven't a clue why it's just how it is...maybe away the Abarth dealer can ramp up the price for changing rear discs and pads. Not trying to be picky just a heads up😉.

Do you need a very specific tool to push the caliper pistons in? Can I use a C clamp ? I’m just doing these rear brakes on a friends car to help her out so I don’t want to buy a very specific tool tool like that. Thanks

They have not the original bolts on the calipper holder, it's much worse in reality to change the discs.
