Tip on removing drain plugs with slinging them off. Loosen the plug while keeping pressure on the plug towards the diff. Then once the plug is totally loosened remove the plug away quickly and it will drain with no mess on your hand and the plug won't go flying off

Mentioning torque was cool. It still amazes me how many people don't bother with tightening fasteners to torque specs. ( Don't forget to store your torque wrenches set to '0' )

Replaced my front and rear today. The total i emptied was maybe 5 quarts total. The front was dirty and magnet had a good bit of shit on it. the rear didnt look too bad and not very much on the magnet. I used all 6 quarts i had to make it full. Im assuming the rear wasnt as full as it should of been from the factory. First time i changed it at 28k

I wish my rear diff had a drain plug. The front does but not rear. It’s a pain. I pump it out through the fill to not worry about messing up the gasket like I did the first time

It takes fluid until it starts dripping from the filling hole. Not sure how much it is In measurements

How about if you use 75w 90 synthetic mobile. Is that ok too?

From what I read the 75w85 is for fuel economy . 75w90 can be used. Doubt there will be very much of a noticeable difference in fuel economy

I own a 2018 tacoma sport with the v6 and I am sticking with it. 50K for a base model is a joke for a 4 cyclinder with turbo charger is a joke. Talk about destroying a good quality truck.
