How to Change Renault Zoe Rear Light Bulb

Thanks for this. Just finished replacing front and rear bulbs using this and one of your other videos. Worth noting (rather fast and hard to see in the video) that the initial 3 black rubber pull-out clips have a central bar section that needs to be lifted/pulled out first so that they release their grip. There is also one screw cap in the bottom corner that also needs to be removed (simply pulls off) before you peel back the black liner material. And as a final comment, if it's the first time you've removed the light unit, it's still held on with several clips and takes a little perseverance or confidence to remove/ pull it out.

Progress? Many years ago, to change a rear light in my 1968 Fraud Cortina, you opened the boot, flipped back a rubber shroud (if your car had them), pulled the bulb out, plugged in the new one, popped the shroud back on, then closed the boot. All done in about 45 seconds. ;-D The downsides were 20 mpg, engine rebores every 24,000 miles, and 'Cortina' is an anagram of 'I can rot', and they did. With a vengeance. So, yes, the Zöe is most definitely progress, but changing a faulty lamp should be almost never needed (LED lights) simpler, quicker and low-cost. Thanks Craig. ;-)

Lovely. The manual wasn't really clear where to locate the unscrew screw thing. I was unscrewing another screw and that did ... nothing in loosening the back light.

Thanks, just replaced my brake bulbs. Those grey extended twisty bits can be a bit tight; the right one on mine couldn't be loosened by hand but there is a Torx socket just inside the spherical end. Thankfully, I had the right Torx bit!

You can break the clips removing them like that. They have something like an arm that goes across the middle. You lift that up to pull then out effortlessly. No tools required. They lock into place so need to be unlocked first.

No need to remove battery at all.. just make sure lights are off

Can anyone tell me why Renault chose to have the brake bulb as a BAW15S bulb! They are so hard to get a hold of!!! I've already tried to get them twice and turned out to be the wrong fittings.
