Ok. Great video but how do you register the battery and clear the codes if I don’t have your computer do I need to use a carley or other testers, what can I use to erase the codes and register the battery?🤔

I honestly don’t know another way to do it without a scanner. Try to find a local mechanic with the right computer that can just register the battery for you for couple $$. If you’re local, you’re more than welcome to come to my shop and I’ll register it for you for Free.

Yes. But you MUST use steel wool! And it has to contact BOTH TERMINALS! very important.

If the battery replacement is not registered, the power management will not function properly and can lead to functions being limited by individual electrical consumers being switched off or having their power consumption reduced.

By skipping the new battery-ECU matching, the ECU does not recognize the battery as new and continues to drive the charging cycle as though it was the old battery. This decreases fuel economy and significantly shortens the service life of the new and unmatched battery. Over the long run, that means you spend more money at the pump and more money in replacement batteries than you would save in skipping the battery registration service.
