This guide is wrong. You only need rtv on the half-moon sections at the back of the gasket, and the little seams where the front cover joins the head. NOWHERE ELSE.

You forgot to show the battery disconnect. Other than that on point. Thanks

Unfortunately, we cannot show all the nuances and problems when replacing them, this is all individual and it is not always possible to solve them at home. To avoid this, we always recommend that replacements be made at specialized services. AUTODOC

It’s not a problem or nuance. It’s a standard that most beginners do not understand . But thank you for the video.

Are U SURE 15Nm?

This information can be found in the technical documentation for repairing your particula model of car.

Cheers Autoshite, followed your guide at 15nm and it snapped the studs clean off the cylinder head. Have since spoke to a specialist who says it should be 10nm. Either change the guide or take down the video before someone else does damage to there car because of your misguided information! You should be held responsible for compensating me new bolts.

For more precise information, vehicle data is required, but according to a preliminary information search, the valve cover tightening torque for BMW E36 is 10-15 Nm. AUTODOC

Are you purposefully ignoring the damage you have done to my engine through misinformation? If you don’t feel a tiny bit responsible then you need to stop making tutorial videos. Regardless of what you have said torque range on the comments, it’s a bit late in the video you have stated 15nm and there is no comment about it being specific to a certain engine/model when the bolts have snapped on my engine.
