Thanks for the video, I just replaced my S7 battery. The back is a nightmare to get off, I used a solder station hot air gun with adjustable temperature. First tried 100, then 200 but needed to set it to 300 degrees Celsius in the end. Just a thought for anyone who is doing this, heat the glue up on the back cover before you put it together again so it gets a nice tight fit. Hoping for another 3 years use of my phone now :)

The S7 is not splash proof, but waterproof! One of the characteristics of the S7. You can add more glue ( sell anywhere. .i.e. amazon) Also it is good to remove the bottom module and then heat up the front of the phone to remove the battery smoother. Opening the back cover like a book was fairly risky. It is good to run the spudger or guitar picks all the way around the edges. Then heat up the front sreen before removing the battery as it is glued as well. Nothing has been mentioned about the reverse side of the new battery, whether there is thermal protection against the heat the battery produce while being charged up or with the phone running many apps at once as on the original one. Unless you want to end up with a little fire in your pocket.

About a year ago I had my S7 in my shorts pocket and waded into a lake to go swimming. The phone was fully submerged in the water to about 1 to 2 feet for roughly 5 minutes before I discovered it. I thought I would need a new phone but it was fine. That was before I changed the battery....

Pretty good video. Hardest part was getting the back off. If you are careful, you can save much of the water-proofing adhesive on the back. A couple suggestions. With phones, computers, cars, anything, they are highly, precisely engineered. If a piece doesn't fit easily, remove it and try again. Do not force a part! The part should fit in easily. When putting screws back in, turn them counterclockwise. They will click into place. You can feel this happen, and often hear it. Then you can turn the screw clockwise to tighten. This will keep you from cross-threading the screw. When you put the three cover parts back on, there are a few more steps than they show. Put the largest piece in first, but don't screw in tightly. That piece needs to interweave with the bottom part. On the left side, one tab on the bottom piece has to go under the larger piece, while one tab must go over the larger piece. On the bottom piece, these is a tab at the bottom that can be snapped into place by pushing on it. On the top piece, the top edge of the middle piece must go under the top piece. Also, I believe a tab on the top part has to go under the frame of the phone. Tighten the screws slightly as you put them in. Then tighten them at various opposite places, like putting a tire on your car. This will avoid one side being tighter than the other or stress put on one side.
