How to change spark plugs, boots, and wires on your Raptor

In this video I teach you how to change the spark plugs, coil boots, and wires in your gen 1 Raptor with the 6.2L engine. I also show you the correct way to gap your spark plugs. It's not a super hard job but it does take some time.

-16 Spark plugs - NGK 6509
-8 coil boot kits - NGK 58976
-Spark plug wire set - Denso 671-8173

Were you getting any misfires with those pellets looking like that? I replaced my wires and plugs looked horrible and were breaking. I didn’t replace the springs or pellets except for one coil that was broken. I’m still getting misfires but not as bad, I’m wondering if since my plugs were so bad that the coil boots and pellets/springs are so corroded that is not working correctly.

I would replace the pellets and springs if I were you. They're the cheapest part and super easy to get to. I would have a rough start every once in awhile, but that issue left after doing this. And my plugs looked good. Pretty cheap and easy thing to try. If the misfire is still there then you can dig further!

I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. You can do one cylinder at a time if you'd like.
