The type of LED used is an SMD LED 3528. A lot of LED strips feature SMD LED 2835 which are a tad smaller as I came to realise. Hope this helps in addition to this useful video.

Hi, thanks for the video. Question please - When replacing the dial needles, is there any special reason to rotate back to zero? or can you simply align pointing at zero and then re-insert the needle? I need to take mine apart to replace a blown (I think LED) and am concerned about refitting the needles and their calibration?

Needles operates on stepper motor At zero point motor is locked So you can easily insert needle and set to zero

@@Shreekantcars Hi, wow what a fast reply, much appreciated :D thanks, so I guess when the system is powered on the position of the stepper motor is assumed by the circuit to be at the zero point - and if you left it pointing at 30mph when you reassembled it, then the system would assume that was the zero point.

When you install needle at 30 but motor is already at zero point When you move the needle 30-20-10-0 then motor can't rotate backward Plz see in video i set that movement So don't worry about calibration 😊 If any query contact mi on my whatsapp no in decreption

Yes , I use normal soldering gun it's harms PCB but u can change led in Mobile repairing shop they use hotair soldering iron and it safe also 🙂

fake the speedometer b4 was only 6000rpm the one thatt is white is another speedometer bcoz it got 8000rpm.. KM is 1179 in frst one and the second one is 24xxx do not be fooled its pcb u can easily damage something
