Try a Dodge Stratus lmao, the batteries are tucked way in the fender, the 350z is actually fairly easy to work on, just a few clips and your to the battery, you can buy bags of 100 new clips for the z for less than $10 online so don't be afraid to break or loose them 👍

Too bad you didn't make a video so we could've watched your wire works. I like your wires. :-) If you do make a short video, that would be awesome. Maybe it's no more advanced than just two wires (gauge?) tapped off of each battery terminal's wires? I think a lot of people with cars they don't drive often would benefit for a quick way to connect a trickle charger. I sure need to start using one. I've a cute German car that keeps draining and then killing batteries while it sits still. (No big drains and alternator put out what it should. It just sits too much alone and talks to itself via the can bus and slowly drains the battery.)

How did you wire up your trickle charger quick connect? Was it just the ring terminals to the + and - terminals?

Would have been nice if Nissan had put it in the trunk, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 2 жыл бұрын
It would for weight transfer. But it would kill the trunk space, raise the cost due to more copper and servicing it in the convertible version of the car would be extremely difficult.

Strange 350Z 2003 problem. Suddenly, certain electrical issues. Fob is not working ( I do know fob is OK). Clock doesn't advance; I can set it but the time stays where it was set. Radio works and I can change stations but it doesn't pick up any stations. It's as if the antenna is disconnected. All these problems surfaced at the same time. Any ideas? Could it be grounding, rats?

A tutorial for the V35 Skyline said to disconnect the negative first & then connect it first, otherwise you have a chance of damaging the internal CPU! Windows, AC, lights... Is this something you know about by any chance?
@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 4 жыл бұрын
I can understand the rational. In aftermarket wiring they always want ground hooked up first when doing connections, to avoid pulling ground from another circuit to not damage anything. I would just follow what your specific owner's or service manual states.

@AnthonyJ350
@AnthonyJ350 2 жыл бұрын
Probably because you touched ground (a part near by) when doing so. Negative is easier because if you touch other metal parts with your wrench, nothing happens because it's already ground.
