How to change the blades and turn the Drum Mower to transport mode

I have that mower under the Ranch Rite brand. I have tried every which way to change those blades and can't get them out. I am not a weakling either, and even using an extension to the tool as you suggest no luck. Either the tool slips off the plate edge or I am almost lifting the damn mower. Still can't get any of the blades out. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong? I don't think the tool should slip out on me like it does, but even when it doesn't I can't get the blades out. Advice appreciated!

lift the blade to the bottom of the top drum. then slide out. Try looking between the drums. you will see what I mean. good luck! This is shown in my videos.
