Great video! Would have like to see more of the removal process. Where did you get your replacement parts? Were they just the same or were they upgraded faders?
@ApexSimRacing25 күн бұрын
You can drill and counter sink a hole in the plastic above the fader and use an m3x8 flathead screw to go into the threaded hole of the fader. So hopefully the pins underneath can never snap. (As a fail safe i ran wires from the pad on bottom of fader around the pcb to the other side and soldered to the pad. But now with the screws i don’t think the pins will be an issue again. Still gotta put it back together and test but so far so good

Thanks man. I am having trouble sourcing the part. I need a left channel. Do you have any leads?

One of my faders has starting up too, where did you get the faders ?

Thanks for making this video. One of my channel faders has started to cut in volume as I fully open it. I reversed it which enabled me to finish my set, but not happy about it. After watching this, I may fix it myself to avoid downtime...or I may just upgrade to the S11 hahh

This makes me want to get the Rane 70 and just mod the crossfader with an innofader.

Oh man! On the S9 they are replaceable from the top of the unit. What a shame you have to go through all this work. Any chance for a video on replacing the channel faders on the Roland 707m? Love the videos! Thanks!

Can the old S9 up faders work as replacement on this S7??

If the upfaders are replaced, will that fix the problem or will it need to be replaced again 6 months later?

Could anyone please give me a link to a retailer that sell these Channel-faders?

Hi! Thanks for the video! Does anyone know is there an upgraded version (more firm, sturdy) version of the upfader that will fit here?

Can this work without a laptop. Standalone ?

Yes. I use mine as a standalone all the time. All the effects are on board the mixer.

Thanks for this video, I own both the S7 and the S5, both mixers channel faders go out every 3 months like clockwork. The rest of the mixer seems solid but omg the channel faders are such hot garbage. I contact Sweetwater and pioneer and they always play it off like its not a problem. It takes Pioneer 3 months to repair the mixer too....Where did you order your replacement parts?
@PRO24DJS Жыл бұрын
Did you find the fadee?? Im frustrated
@EnormeSounds Жыл бұрын
Mine is doing the same thing. Did pioneer fix yours for free? Also, how long did you have yours? Mine is over a year so not sure if Pioneer will fix it. Last, people say you can just blow air inside to clean the fort out and that should fix the problem. Did you try that?

...unfortunately that is where Pioneer wants to take this industry. They are following Apple's footsteps and seemingly have become all about the $$. Just look at Apple's new line of macbook pros - all soldered SSD's and RAM. Nothing can be easily fixed/replaced with their new laptops unlike the bullet-proof tank 2012 Macbook Pros (which I still run 4 of to this date). Looks like Pioneer hardware following the same steps. Glad I decided to just hold on to the Rane 72 and DJM S9 instead of wasting money on all this low quality design/manufactured crap...

...all that work just to swap out faders? NO THANKS. Guess I'm staying with my Rane 72 and S9. Man, Pioneer turning into just like APPLE....making all their crap hardware not replacement friendly. No wonder Pioneer's parent company bought out Serato - corner the DJ market where future versions of Serato will most likely work with crap quality Pioneer hardware that will need to be replaced / upgraded after 1 year.
