How To Change the Clock and Set the Time On A GE (General Electric) Oven

Here's a quick demonstration of how to change the clock time on some of the newer General Electric ovens. They don't all have this scheme, but a lot do. It took quite some time to finally figure out how to easily and consistently change the clock on this GE Double Oven. It takes practice and you may not get it working correctly the first time you try it.
0:00 Intro to the GE Oven Clock Problem
0:19 Use TWO to hold down the 9 and 0 buttons at the same time
0:28 After 3 seconds you enter "clock change mode" and the clock reads "12:00"
0:32 Type in your time and press START
You essentially have to hold the 9 and 0 buttons down for three seconds, type in the new time and then hit the oven Start button. The Start button works like an Enter key on a computer.

Perfect. I was having a hard time setting clock on my ge stove after moving into a new apartment. GE, it's not obvious that we have to press two buttons simultaneously to go into set-clock mode. Put some relevant icons on the panel.

Thank you for this. After trying to follow the directions in the manual and getting nowhere, I searched and found your video. Short and to the point, AND more importantly, your directions allowed me to set the clock on this stove which was delivered today. Oh my goodness, press the start button after you set the time! 🎉 Saved me so much time and aggravation. My ge range is a different model but the solution was the same, the time you set is only saved after you press the start button

Thank you so much! Mine doesn't have the numbers, just the + and - signs above the "Set Clock" inscription. I pressed both signs together for 3 seconds, just like you pressed the 9 and the 0, then I keep pressing either the minus and the plus sign until I got the right time and then I pressed start. It worked! Your video has been a big help!
