The engineer who put the nut for the power steering reservoir in the back instead of the front was a sadist. Once I eventually got a socket on the nut the rest was easy. Thanks!!!!

Thanks for the video. That hidden nut under p/s reservoir was a real stickler. You made it so much easier, especially changing it outside in Wisconsin in December. 👍

Yup. This is probably why my #2 isn't firing either. After all this time.... changed the spark plugs and everything.... I'll check the coil tomorrow. Looks simple enough. Thanks for the video.

Thank you very much for this video. After dropping my wrench down into the engine trying to find that power steering back screw.... your "hard to find" comment was very underrated. :-) It was actually easier to do the whole thing at night with a good light. My only question... there is a very thin vacuum line? located right behind the power steering container and runs into the intake manifold. The line broke and part of the thin line broke and melted inside the cone shaped rubber gasket that holds tbe end of the line and fits over a tube connector on the intake manifold. So now I need a new cone shaped rubber gasket. What is that called and how can I find a replacement for the gasket and line (since the vacuum line has become brittle)? Thanks for your video and help!!!
@bullseyenate2313 жыл бұрын
I am not sure exactly which line you are referring too; however, if you go to your local auto parts store and explain they should be able to pull up all of the vacuum lines in their computer. This will allow you to compare them to the exact one you are searching for.

Did the vehicle stop running and not be able to start? I took off thr fuel supply line to my rail, checked the relay and everything checked out fine. Honestly when it started running weird i thought it was this issue but never changed it because it kept running. Then a couple days ago it started ran for a couple minutes, died and wont start again. Really hoping this is the issue

take a sharpie and mark the number on the plug wire before you take them off if reusing the same wires,, makes it easy you can just pop all the plug wires off :) should be 5 ,1 ,3 on the back order and 2,4, 6 on the front order

@bullseyenate2314 жыл бұрын
Have you tried changing your spark plugs? If you have bad spark plugs the coil will not fix a bad plug which could be the reason cylinders 2 and 5 continue to give you issues. Also double check and triple check that you have connected your wires in the proper sequence.
@brendanmitchell35453 жыл бұрын
@@bullseyenate231 what is the proper sequence I have a mint boggling issue on my 3.3l. My front 3 wires going to the coil/distributor are perfectly in order, but the wires going from the backside are out of order, the middle wire in the coil goes to the last spark plug and it seems to run decent. If I switch it to chronological order it misfires.(last coil to last spark plug, middle to middle plug, last to last plug) What is wrong with this??? If I switch it back out of order it runs fine

@@bullseyenate231 very good advice...when I replaced my plugs & wires I had 2 wires on the back in the wrong order...started the van and instantly knew something was wrong. I drove it down the street half a block and back and in that short amount of time the catalytic converter was cherry red from being so hot! Put the wires in the correct sequence and it ran great! I mention this because as I'm sure you know, the wrong sequence could really mess things up...triple check!

I got a Chrysler country town van 2006 v6 3.8 I went to auto zone an did a diagnostic it said cylinder 3 misfired detector it virbrates a lil bit but still I think it’s something else I bought the coil pack an got it put on today I already got a tune up oil change two weeks ago two new axels but I’m working on getting the inner tied rods an wheel alignment I already got the outta tied rods. Anyway I was wondering if it’s the fuel Injector do I need to buy it or get a fuel injector cleanser
@bullseyenate2315 жыл бұрын
Sheila Ross, have you changed the spark plugs and wires yet? You could have had a faulty spark plug and or faulty wires and that would cause the cylinder 3 misfire as well.
@bullseyenate2315 жыл бұрын
Sheila Ross, I would recommend changing coil pack (which you said you have), as well as plugs and wires first.
@sheilaross66945 жыл бұрын
bullseyenate 231 I just got a coil pack put on today
@bullseyenate2315 жыл бұрын
Sheila Ross, oh ok so you got it all fixed I would assume? That’s great. As for the injectors typically you don’t change them unless they are giving you problem. Also injectors can get pretty pricey to just change for preventable maintenance. Personally If the vehicle is running fine I would leave the fuel system alone except maybe the fuel filter. Sometime when you start running cleaners and all through your fuel system it will break up some of the build up and then cause problems cause the injectors to fail due to grime getting caught in it.

bullseyenate 231 I think what I’m gonna do is go to the shop an have them check it out plus my van had stop on me yesterday when I turn my ride off an it wouldn’t start up now remind u it was super hott yesterday . Everybody keep on saying it’s my starter but I would know if it’s my starter tho . So now today I start my car up its back running I guess I had to let it cool off so that’s when I went to auto zone have them do a diagnostic on my van and that’s when it said cylinder 3 misfired detector

Halp! The little thin hose to the immediate right of the power steering reservoir (you can see it @7:29 under your wrist ) broke when we moved the reservoir. What's that part called so we can replace it. 😳

Wait I'm sorry the vacuum lines is what you called them at @8:12. We talked to the dealer and they said they need to know what it attached to...this has become an adventure.
@bullseyenate2314 жыл бұрын
@@Resnullia, yes I just reviewed my video and they are vacuum lines. U just need to figure out which one it is and replace it. Hoses often get dry rot over time so if it crumbled that is normal for a hose with age.

The numbers on my new coil don’t match up with my old one. They are in a different order with different sides and the old one skips 5 and goes to 7 whereas the new on goes 1-6. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Great video! Thank you for sharing! How can I test my coil. I have #2 not firing at the coil. Replaced plug and wire on # 2. It is not firing. 2002 3.3L town and country. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
@bullseyenate2317 жыл бұрын
Roddy Riddle, you can perform a test on your coil pack by using a multi meter. Basically you can check the resistance for the coil pack using the ohm setting on your multimeter. There are tons of videos and how to blogs that you can find online for learning how to perform this procedure. I would just google it and follow the instructions on checking the coil itself. If I have time I will see if I can dig up an old coil and make a video. However, If you have no spark and you have changed the wire and plug, it is most likely the coil not sending the spark to cylinder #2. The coil would definitely be where I went next.
