We've just had the same issue. I was wondering if there's a bad batch or something. We contacted tommee tippee and it seems there was a design change that they've now gone back to the original! They're going to send us a replacement. They said they're safe to use just less convenient given how slow the water filters through

The water wont pass through becuase the a tual filter needs to completely submerged in water upright (u may have to hold it becuase it floats at first) takes about 10minutes or so. Once all the bubbles are out, you can replace the filter. The water should pass through as normal then

Make sure you didn't push the filter too far ij. It doesn't clip in. It just stits in

Does the light always come on if it needs changing? I’ve had the same filter in for 12+ weeks and my machine hasn’t shown a light telling me to change filters 🤷🏽‍♀️

Hi! With my machine it did.. I would assume your filter would need to be changed after 12months, if I remember rightly (its been a while since I filmed this video!) it said to change the filters every 3 months! Hello! As far as you know, the filter should only be changed when the machine tells you to? Or should a regular change be made? I don't remember where I read, maybe in the booklet or on the website, it seemed to me to say to make a change every 4 months anyway .. What do you think?

I filled a big mixing bowl of water then submerged it fully shaking it etc to ensure all bubbles are out and its finally working!! Takes a while still but should he dripping through the filter at a fast ish rate x

Hi, Ive got a very important question. How do you get rid of these annoying noises? The machine is always beeping pushing the button. At night my kid instantly jumps to our ceiling😅

Hi! I’m afraid with this model there is no option to turn off the beep noise :( I believe in newer versions there is that option?! Best advice would be to place it far away from the room your child is in that is bothered by the noise.. all the best! 🌷

It’s up to you, personally I changed it when the light appeared but you may feel happier changing it more regularly! :)

I haven’t tried that, I don’t think it would work as the filter also acts a plug in the water hopper. So without that filter I assume the water would leak out?! And it’s best for the baby under 1 years old to have the water filtered! Hope that helps! MrsHomeMakerUK

I am sorry I can not advise why that is happening! Best to contact who you bought it from and exchange it, perhaps something has blown inside it!

The first two lots of water that come out after replacing the filter should be cold but after that it should be back to normal.

I’d have a look at the full instructions for the machine as that states a totally different sequence. Especially if your dealing with a child with a low immune system! The steps might make a huge difference for ppl in that situation.

I think it should say 'rubber seals'. I've been changing the filter on our perfect prep and was struggling with the rubber seals that go on or around the base of hopper where the filter attaches. ​@@allthingsmumlifeUK
