How to change the front brake pads on a 2012 Dodge Journey

In this video I'll show you how easy it is to change the brake pads out on your Dodge journey. It takes just a few basic tools and about 30min per side. Good luck!

Good video. Just forgot to tell them to pump the brakes to get the piston back in contact with the brake pads. Otherwise the first time they try to stop they are in for a surprise..

Well you don't need a 14mm wrench or a wrench. You do need a 13mm socket and ratchet for the caliper bolts, no wrench needed, 9mm or 3/4" lugnut 4 way tiretool needed. Watch how you put the caliper back on as you can twist the brake line

One important thing you're not doing is servicing the slider pins, if they're seized, you'll wear a set of pads out in no time!

Forgot to grease the lock pins on the mounting bracket. That's what the grease is for.

If you had to do it on an SXT model you wouldn’t have been praising dodge so much,2012 was a mess for the sxt model, it came with either 12 or 13 in rotors single or dual piston or if you were the really unlucky guy like me who had to fix my cousins car it had the chrysler town n country Caliper brackets which made it a multiple trip to the parts store and lots of wasted time.nothing hard about the install once you have the right parts 🤦
