It never a goes to full again because the float only goes so high and the miles per tank full will never be right also what sux cause I did this is that the tank is longer not taller so took some time to get it in but other than that it is good. Get the Idash it will tell you the percentage you have left

Yeah the algo is for 32 or 50 so even at 52 I know I still have 2 gals worth of fuel after DTE calculation, needle stays on F until you use around 12-13 gals then is SPOT on until E. I took it down to the warning light then filled up with 50 gals so it's pretty accurate. wish companies would design a new 52 gal sending unit!

@@DeLoEnterprises I feel ya so you never got the DTE to calculate I can’t even get the needle to hit full just hit 3/4 of a tank but my Idash says 99% fuel. So did you get yours to calculate or you do it yourself by counting. I just take my mpg and multiply it by 49 and that helps me. I am gonna see if the dealer can do it or call titan and see what they say. I have seen vids where it works with alpha obd and others where it doesn’t. Idk I just want to see the number over 500 miles to the end of the line lol 😂

Can the android OBDLink app be used to change fuel tank size? I see under Vehicle Editor an option to change fuel tank capacity. I did this but can't see any different in fuel gauge. I suspect the AlfaOBD + security cable is required?

Hi I did the changes to my fuel tank size and it said on app that it was successful, the car fuel reading went up slowly, when I unplug the obd module and bypass cables and plug original cables back in then turn car on the fuel guage won’t read anything and just says low fuel??? Do you have any advice as to what I may be doing wrong? Thanks Dean

You man have put in an invalid amount, anything above 299 liters wont' register. Even though I have a 52 gal tank the computer is only designed for 33 gal or 50 gal so DTE will be off by 2 gals at current avg mpg approx. try cycling the key again then if that doesn't work re-input the stock tank size of 33 gal, cycle keys to reset then re-input the 52 gal tank in liters NOT GALLONS. If you put gallons in the computer will think you only have 52 liters and not gallons.

Ok I have a 2020 ram been try for 2days to get fuel to change. All the alfaobd seems to do is throw check engine light on and nothing else. Truck starts a dies after until I clear code. Does your bypass have one or 2 of the small plugs ? Seems nobody works any technical support at alfaobd to call and get answers

The bypass has 2 leads you have to plug into the control unit.

I have an 18 2500 with bypass cable and same BT OBD adapter as you and AlphaOBD and am unable to get distance until empty to change. I tried 194L which is what I have seen as the most it can be set on forums and now just tried 189L which is as close to 50G as possible. The only change I had was gauge went to 3/4 and I just filled the tank to the top to leak check after installing a Titan tank. Any help would be grateful.

Make sure the year and model selected in Alpha OBDII is correct and then cycle the key on and off a few times. First couple fill ups wont be 100% correct. it has to "relearn" on the computer.

I picked the one for 2018 so that should be good and it said completed successfully. I will cycle the key tomorrow and see what happens. You are awesome for replying thank you so much.
