In this video I will show you how to reset your oil life in the Ford F-150. You will also need 7.75 quarts of full synthetic oil. Ford recommends 5W30 full synthetic. The oil change procedure applies to 14th generation F-Series pickup trucks (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025). This process is also similar for the 5.0-liter F-150 engine models from 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, as they use the third generation of the Coyote engine. The 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine belongs to this third generation of Coyote engines as of 2021.

I've had issues with SuperTech oil maintaining oil pressure. I have a 2002 Tacoma. Every time I use SuperTech oil I have problems with low oil pressure at idle. When I use Mobil One or Quaker State, no pressure issues. All oils were 10W-30 full synthetic, high mileage formulations. Granted, the engine does have 250,000 miles. But this would still prove there is a quality difference between oils.

Hey there just thought I’d let you know gen 3 coyote is 2018-2020 and gen 4 for the f150 is 21+

Good thing you were holding that paper towel. Otherwise you might’ve got oil on everything.

The paper towel was to help grip the oil drain plug and keep it from burning my fingers. Thanks for watching.

Does it matter whick order you do the oil change. I noticed you reset the % first, then the filter, then drained the oil. I do just the opposite, is that your personal preference.
