hi, thanks for this great video, i have noticed that you where using the LS gear oil but z06 car manual on page 308 recomends using (( DEXRON®-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid )) for the (( Electronic Limited Slip Differential , eLSD, Clutch System Lubricant, Z51 and Z06 Only )). is it OK !!

I used the exact fluid the Corvette tech & parts guy pulled off the computer at the Certified Corvette dealer... so, not worried at all.

@@farmerandyman7115 I checked with the local dealer he said (DEXRON® LS Gear Oil GM Part No. 88862624) is not made for the Z06 or z51 and will cause serious DAMAGE - CHECK page 308 of your car manual // Z51 and Z06 use Only DEXRON®-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid. anyway its your car any you can fill it with vegitable oil if you wanted - I just dont want others the cause damage to their cars.

The owners manual should have been written a little more clearly. The Dexron VI ATF is for the ELSD hydraulic pump system that activates the limited slip clutch pack in Z51, Z06, etc. Correct differential fluid is Dexron 75W-90 LS gear oil!

Yes, I did mine at 10k and the factory fluid is somehow not good and often short filled. Its $180 at a shop.
