Interesting. I wish I reallyunderstood more about surface versus polish

Interesting video. Now I currently have four different types of bowling balls and I will be getting a couple of more in the future to complete the arsenal. i’m afraid to mess with the bowling balls because I don’t wanna ruin the surface. The question is, how do you know if it’s simply a surface change rather than to ball change?

This has nothing to do with this video but I’m looking for some potential replacements for my Purple Hammer Reactive. Any suggestions?

So if I wanted a ball to have less lane reaction I could hit it with a 4 or 5000 pad? Or would I have to do something else for less ball reaction?

But how do you add polish?

That ball was chalky as hell. Nowhere near 3000 or 4000.

A lot of bowlers must also realise that balls that are solid basically turn pearl from all the game you put on it. And pearls turn to solid. Unless your using a pad to keep up with surface. But i like how pearl are really sharp for me but after like 2 months it gives me more control.

Solid balls will lane shine. Some faster than others

@dp-mcfly5158 what do you wanna know about bowling? Give me some questions or scenario and i will try to just the most simple answer i can think of to help you out.

@@dp-mcfly5158 basically its important to maintain bowling balls cause the game is about break points and if you dont clean and resurface every so often your ball hook shape will change.

Stable grit is like 4700, I wouldn't say pearls turn to solid. Nor that solids turn to pearl. Surface finish (i.e. 1000 grit, 2000 plus polish, 4k fast, etc) is not overstock and vise versa. A solid will turn shiny (which is a benefit on house) and shiny may be less shiny, but the characteristics of the underlying coverstock (solid or pearl) will still dictate ball motion. The finish on top dictates where that motion/reaction sort of starts.
