How to Change to ANY Language in League of Legends [Updated 2023]

Learn How to Change your Language in LoL (League of Legends)!
In this video, I will show you how to change to ANY other language in League of Legends. This is the latest new Method which is working as of June 2023. I also show you how to change your language back to English (or whichever language you originally had.

I had troubles but then i think what fixed it was, i had to make sure i go to the bottom right of my taskbar and close the client by right clicking then clicking exit. I think the issue is the client needs to be completely closed and not minimized or the settings in the .yaml file will keep resetting. that's why changing the settings in the client as you do in the video at 3:30 is helpful, but the changes don't seem to apply until you fully close it at the bottom right for some people (or you can end it in task manager or restart the computer as someone else did). but it sounds like it does work immediately for other people? idk lol but yeah thanks a ton for the video ^^

In case u suffer from update loop (which stops downloading language files in >>riot client) Right click riot client >properties > check: "run as administrator" and "disable fullscreen optimization"> apply and ok Also check "run as administrator" in the shortcut properties too That way u wont hav japanese riot client and english league client

Do I have to do this every time the client updates? I don't understand why we can't choose the language we want to play normally like any other game lmao.

riot does that because according to the region and mostly the language you choose to the client they will show things like live tournaments based on the language you choose, for example, if you choose portuguese it will show you in the home page tournaments from that region. Concluding riot is a dogsht company I don't think that is any hard work to do, they only chose not to because they prefer being scratching their balls and making more skins to get more money instead of adding actual usefull features that even ps1 games might have

I still faced issues with the League client still loading in English. In case the same thing happens to you, try logging in on the Riot Client. Once logged in, do not run League using the Riot client or do not click the foreign language "Play" on League of Legends on the Riot client. Instead, run League by clicking the shortcut you made. This worked for me.

Guys if you want to change your language after vanguard patch 1) Open the riot client 2) click the user icon in the top right. 3) click the settings 4) make sure that you are on the league of legends tab 5) change your game text language to the desired language. Once you re open league of legends it will patch in the voices. Hope this helps!!

Hey, I found a way to fix it hope it helps. For Windows: Right click the shortcut on the desktop once you have done the procedure of the video, then Properties > Shortcut > Advanced > Run as Administrator, and them on the same properties window > General > Click "atributes > read only. Hope it helps! @@rayhvncho

To fix it: in the shortcut properties, go to advanced, run as administrator, apply. Then go to general tab, tick Read-only, and apply. This is to avoid the shortcut from being automatically edited, which changes the target and ruins the shortcut. You have to do the read only part last because otherwise you'll be denied (naturally)

Reinstall the game with the language you want, it works. No need to change any bollocks file and such. Took me 10 minutes to reinstall and the language was changed.

I am playing on JP server, and it is not allowing me to change to English. Why can't' they make a built-in language change in the game. When I go to the one on the client it is only allowing me to change to Japanese. I know the language, but I prefer English.
