This video saved me a bunch of money by telling me it's OK to "thrash the hell out of it". It took alot of thrashing but it did eventually come out after 15-20 minutes. I never would have thought I could bash it that hard. I love these bearings. They're so much better than the junk you get here in the states. Thanks!

Does your hub itself have any seals? I just disassembled mine to replace the bearings and it looks like I accidentally busted a black seal out the back of the hub. I thought with these bearings a hub seal was not necessary.

What is the torque setting for the wheel nut?
@MrMeltedwellies3 жыл бұрын
For 1/2 inch you will want to torque the lug nuts to 75 - 85 foot pounds. For 9/16 inch lug nuts torque them to 135 - 145 foot pounds. And for 5/8 inch lug nuts torque them to 175 - 225 foot pounds. hope this helps

I think the clue is in the term "boat trailer" :)

Grumpy Techie Yes, boat trailer parts need to be special surface treating.

Utter crap engineering, worthy of the Chinese. Rubbish seals running on a non replaceable wear washer. A fix For a little longer life use a smaller id seal and try to get the running surface smooth. If the hub had a grit flinger to save the seal from abrasion these bearings would lad ten times longer. Even cars from yesteryear has those. I’ve gone through four sets of bearings ( I have found some triple sealed units) in six years. If you have no press just Heat the hub in your oven and put the bearings in the freezer for a few hours this to help dropping bearing in rather than beating it into submission.

Thanks for that tip... I gotta replace bearings on my seadoo trailer with this design. Mine though has a seal on outside of bearing unlike this one.
