How To Change Transmission Fluid KTM 530 4-Stroke Gear Oil Change

See tips, tools, time, parts, and beers required to get this critical maintenance job done. Replacing the transmission fluid, aka the gear oil is a great way to keep our ktm motorcycle on the trail for many miles to come. Keep in mind this was done according to the owners manual for this 2008 ktm 530 xcw, the process is likely similar, but may not be identical for other big four stroke ktm's. Always refer to your owners manual for the correct procedure for your KTM dirt bike.
KTM Gearbox Oil Change Job Overview:
Difficulty: Easy
Maintenance Interval: Every 15 Engine Hours
Transmission Oil Capacity .90L (.95 Quarts)
Level of Importance: High (Critical)
Time Required: 1-2 Beers (20-40 Mins)

What's that spray you use to clean surrounding area?

amzn.to/3dqijZv crc heavy duty brake and parts cleaner, stuff is really good at getting grime and grease, but probably need to avoid any electrical connections of sensitive parts with it because it is such a harsh chemical. So is the gear box oil .90l and the engine oil is 1.25L ?

gear box on that 530 was .9L, but I believe the engine oil was only 600ml. Be sure to check the shotglass and your owners manual to ensure correct oil level. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a good question in the comments. Cheers
