Should work fine as long as: - The background is a single color - Lighting is good so the background stays the same color and not different shades - when removing the background, you need to click "Reset" on the top left corner of the screen and then tap on the background-color

I presume this is happening because when you add the background layer, it’s automatically applying kenburns which needs to be disabled first.

It sounds like the lighting and contrast might need adjustment. Try enhancing the brightness and contrast of your face, either while shooting the video, and/or later using the iMovie app's editing tools to make your face more visible and less dim.

I see, there’s an option to adjust the amount of background vs foreground blur on the top right corner. You can select the background area first, and then adjust by bringing the levels down or up. If this still doesn’t help, please let me know and I can make another video explaining in more detail.

Yes, because I had one and best result comes with a GS. However, you can certainly use it without one as well which I explained in the video how to key out any solid color.

Your shirt must be white or have a white shade in it. Upon trying to key out, it keys out the foreground white color of your clothes as well. Try wearing different colors than your background

Even a ring light can work. But make sure to place it at 45 degree angle on life and right side. Also, turn all the room lights on so the background is evenly lit.
