I have the system for four years... I cancelled the monitoring after 4 years because when the alarm would go off they simply would send me an email saying to proceed with cautious! That was it! I felt that the ADT alarm monitoring was just set on a computer program to warn in case it would go off... finally I let it go after a lot of them "playing" around and would not cancel my services! Anyhow, during the night I put the alarm on but noticed that it says tgat the batteries are low. Which website can I buy the batteries online? Thank you!

put the system on test before you start with the monitoring station , is always a good idea . good engineers always use the engineers code first . otherwise if it ant on maintenance you will need an anti code reset .

Ok, so I no longer have my monitoring service through Richmond, but the old keypad is still on the wall and it keeps constantly beeping. I finally figured out how to remove the battery pack (unfortunately BEFORE I found this video😒) but its still beeping even without the battery pack. Can you please tell me how to totally diconnect the entire system so that is no longer getting power??

Hopefully you’ve received an answer to your question by now. If not, the system is also hard wired and plugged into the nearest outlet. You will need to unplug to stop the beeping permanently. I was experiencing the same issues and I removed the battery and unplugged. All beeping stopped.

I disagree, This will replace the battery. But it will still say low battery on the keypad and the constant beeping will drive everybody crazy. To clear the low battery from the keypad, First power down the whole system by removing the D.C power wire from the keypad. Now replace the battery, reconnect the power wire on the keypad. You're ready to go. The keypad will not clear the low battery if you don't power cycle the panel.

Great feedback, Trino. We have never seen a 2GIG you have to power down to clear the low battery. It usually takes 24 hours for the new battery to fully charge and at that point, the panel will clear the notification. We verified with 2GIG support and they determined that after the battery is 75% charged it should clear on its own. You might actually have to acknowledge the trouble condition for it to clear, but definitely not power down. We would recommend giving the GC2 panel 24 hours to fully charge the new battery and then simply clear the trouble condition. Please let us know if this works for you!

Powering down worked for me. System was beeping 2 days after I replaced the battery. After powering down you will have to reset the time which is another process

After unscrewing the Phillips screw the cover opened. But there is no place for a battery as shown on your video. It is just a printed circuit board. The dude who installed this system has fallen off the planet. Can anyone help?

@@dunrockin5.... Janice bigger, I'm sorry to hear your having issues with your alarm panel. First 2 questions I have: Do you have a 2 gig panel ? And do you have the correct battery for this panel ? Everything the guy showing here in the video is correct. With the exception it doesn't take 6-8 hours for the panel to see the new battery. Powered down the whole panel, plug in the battery first, now reconnect the power. Your panel is good. You will have to reset the time and date on the panel. I've installed and serviced hundreds of these 2 gig panels. I kinda wonder if your panel even has a battery. Maybe that's why you can't find the battery. Only problem is, if no battery; you would have had issues from the beginning.

I’ve had an alarm guy who says he knows what he’s doing, come out to replace all the sensor batteries in the house. We had enough of that constant warning beeping sound that you had on your video. The alarm system is not connected it is only used to let us know when someone comes in and out of the doors. Three hours later, he still cannot get the warning alarm to go off. It now has been reduced to it saying that the control panel battery is low. And that only happens random. I do not want him back to the house. Your video shows it can be done simply. But it does not show which battery to purchase. Ours says reliance protector on the outside. He says it takes weeks to get and i dont believe him. Please say its an easy battery to replace.
