Watch out for the thickness of plastic tube, eg, pen cap, that you push in and releases the hose clips. Basically if it's too thin it gets stuck inside the coupling without lifting the clips, ie, DON'T push it in all the way if the 2 side clips aren't lifting because if some is hanging out you can use a blade to get it out again. I used 2mm half moon plastic tubes 12mm long.

I think the 2013 is exactly the same as this but check before taking the wheel off u can see the filter behind the wheel

After 2013 Mazda 3 changed the filter location to inside the gas tank near the pump assembly

Hey man this was my channel but i forgot the password lol. No codes what happened was the car would take alot of time when cold started so i changed it and it solved the issue plus for the longevity of the fuel pump hope this help
