I'm 42 and I finally found a clean z . 2 owner car fully documented 1992 2+2 NA. I'm so stoked to have found this channel. Yes I'm subbed and have liked every video I've seen to date. @@jsnow6925 no sold it. Now I have an e36. I have a 95 325is and I daily it in Las Vegas. I could never trust the z it was basically a toy. You need to do all the deletes under the intake Plenum. And let me tell you that job fucking sucks.. also, there are a multitude of things that will keep the car from starting. Everything from fuel pump relay to various sensors and because it’s OBD one you better be real good at diagnosing because you’re not gonna be able to just treat like an OBD two car. Also, the wiring wasn’t that great. You may have to get a brand new engine harness if you have persistent issues..

@@Vgk36 hearing a lot of these stories, was my favorite car in high school and wanted for fun and a little nostalgia, maybe put a few k on a year. Currently not modded but would do some breather mods at most. no track. Assuming you think it is not worth it? Is there any way you would or just a giant headache no matter what. just FYI, has 50k, always garage kept, going to get the 120k service immediately. You can be blunt

It is also recommended you change the oil cap seal after every oil change as well.

You should take the oil cap off first so the oil drains faster.

Hey nice job. Question: at 1:53 and few seconds after I see a red patch of some kind on the splash guard. I have the same thing on mine! It’s a Velcro patch or something stapled and holding the splash guard on. What’s the deal with that? Is that a common thing with Z32s? Guy name Harry Sandhu works on mine in Brandon FL. Weird

Patch I believe has a compartment where you can open and reach a bolt

Can you add oil treatment like a Lucas if you have a small leak on these types of engines?? By the way I just subscribed.

Honestly the best way for a leak on these cars is fix it by replacing the seals. They can be very temperamental and it's always better to be safe than sorry. But to answer the question additives like Lucas are engineered to help but not fix issues.

Honestly I just use the FSM when it comes to things like this, but climate, use, and motor type does play a role. I would definitely do more research before jumping into something like that. For the drift car I do run a bit higher of a weight but thats due to being at high rpms for a long time.

Justin Carver AIV's are still on this car just due to I have had 0 issues with it. When K replace the clutch and pull the motor then all the deletes will come.
