For those who are having issues with getting the c clip back on (because bizarrely they don't include it in the video) just use a small set of pliers to squeeze the clip back on...it should pop right back on!!

Olivia Polkinghorne yeah u can try using the pliers or hold the C clip in its position with the tweezers then use ur thumb + nail to press the C clip back on its location I also cleaned the old grease out then sprayed the new grease in

dude you saved me so much money!!. i have one of those nostalgic record player made to look like the old antiqueones with the trunpet and everything. i went to use it to day after not using it for months. and the table wouldn't turn. after fighting with the warranty people and them not really helping me i turned to the net and found this video. now i dont need to send my record player out to get fixed because all it was was the belt had some how fallen off and need to be put back on. i did it my self. thank you so much

Very useful video thank you! It was hard to find videos that show how to take off the plate (that little screw on the bottom has to come off first), then pick up the plate as opposed to take out the silver knob on top of it and voila you can see what is inside.

To get the C clip off, I used a slot screwdriver from a computer repair kit--very small--and slid it into a tiny slot on the c clip. The clip popped off easily, but watch out--it POPS. Keep track of it.

I’ve had my Crosley CR8005D-BK for about 2 years now and it works ok but it is a bit cheap and needs constant catering to and adjustment.I suggest investing in an Audio Technica if you’re really into playing vinyls and a lifelong hobby but if you’re just starting out and want it mostly for the aesthetic the Crosley is pretty adequate. :-)

Is there a way to control the pitch on these? The speed is about 2% too slow, even with a new belt. There is likely a small potentiometer somewhere on the board that can be adjusted for this; I just need to be told the component number on the board, or the location of the pot.

The new belt kept popping off whenever I touched the record player, I put the old belt back on and now it pops off when I touch the record player. How do you actually replace the belt so this does not happen? It is currently unusable.

Just replaced mine a few minutes ago, and what I can think of in your case is these things: 1. Make sure to push the belt all the way down so it touches the underside of the platter everywhere. 2. insert a pencil as a guide between belt and platter. It will help you lay the belt over the notch. 3. Make a note of where the notch is and find a marking on the flip side of the platter that matches where the notch is. Make sure the marking you found aligns with the spinning axle or the belt will never be placed correctly Hope that helps

Crosley's are crap! They are made out of cheap plastic parts and breaks easy as well as ruin records with its heavy tracking force and cheap cartridge, I just got an Audio Technica Lp-60 and it's a hell of alot better!
