I appreciate your video. Short sweet, and simple. I like that it’s quiet and you’re not just yammering.

I used a new magnetic drain plug with a new crush washer to replace my original vw plug.

Off topic, but in frame: I think I have the same 4into1 into the muffler exhaust system. Where did you get the muffler and attachment fitting?
@jjquick66955 ай бұрын
I converted from the late style exhaust to the early style with larger heater boxes and less components. I bought the setup from someone already complete. The muffler is a Porsche 914 muffler with a resonator (not sure what it came from) that was shortened to bring the setup to the proper length.

Do you ever take out the oil screen to clean it up & change gaskets too?
@jjquick66957 ай бұрын
Yes I do, and that's a good idea. I don't think its necessary to do it every oil change but every other to every third change is good

@jjquick6695 for sure! I haven't done it yet and was looking for a video to see what all i need to do. Ive had my bus for about 5 years and decided to finally take the screen out to clean it & change out gaskets

@@jjquick6695 just boought one just like this; haven't begun my deep dive yet but about to; which particular gaskets are you referring to? thx, --w

@@ClydeWayneCrewsJr Congrats on the purchase, enjoy it! The gaskets I’m referring to are the oil strainer gaskets. The oil strainer is next to the drain plug (the round metal plate) and should be cleaned and inspected every 10-20k miles.
