Yeah - those DIY kits they sold on tv last year blew up a lot of systems. Mechanics really loved them :)

We make so much money in the automotive industry off of people who buy those kits and when they use them in the wrong application in the wrong way burn up 🔥 their compressors. Keep up the good work in promoting the little DIY squirt cans it makes us a lot of money thank you.

I am not sure if you knew but there is a UV fluid you can add to the gas , it helps when checking for leaks with a black Light around the fittings and under dash

+vcval Yeah, we thought about the UV, bu decided to not do that initially.

An easier way to add oil is you put a vacuum on the system then put the hose for adding refrigerant into your oil and us the vacuum in the system to draw the oil in.

Wow i got alil nervous at 19 min when you was adding to the high pressure line but I did learn something
@andrewarmstrong73105 жыл бұрын
Calvin Taylor once you start it up the system will equalize. If you put liquid in the suction or low side it will mess the compressor up as the compressor pumps gas not liquid. Can or bottle up is the preferred way for automotive systems.

Lol 52 in the vents are not enough here in florida

hi recharge chart temperature vs pressure is incorrect . Max head /high pressure for a 100F day commonly is 240psi .A good system can run as low as 160psi [dual condensor] . On the low side 25--35 psi is good . Why, this is the freezing temp of r12/r134a below 28psi. Pressures should be checked at idle 800rpm and engine fast idle 1500rpm . My 4x4 runs 25psi and 160psi on a 110f day vent temp= chilly 42F or 6 Cel B4 I added second condensor 270psi, 60F vent

On a new system 30 min. is OK. On a used system at least 45 min. Freon is the name given to R-12 by Du Pont. R-134a is NOT Freon.

Freon is that stuff they give you at the dentist's office. I get it in bulk, fill up ballons with it, and sell it to people. It only gets you high for a few minutes, but it is a good high.

@@web5271 The stuff at the dentist's office is nitrous oxide. It's not the same as the nitrous oxide that you would use on your car.

Cam looks like he needs a little seat time in front of that ac. I feel his pain. It gets above 69 and I get cranky.

+Brian TX LOL Cam and Jeff both sweat like Stevedores in Miami when they are working--no matter how cool it is outside.

Keep up the good work in promoting the little DIY squirt cans it makes us a lot of money thank you. As for oil . The cheap 46 viscosity PAG oil that is not double and capped that is mostly sold in auto parts stores. And there is a high-quality OEM recommended and installed 46 viscosity double and cat PAG oil. Then there is they OEM 68 viscosity PAG oil and also the 68 viscosity PEV oil different chemical, we also have the PAG 100 viscosity oil, PAG 125 viscosity, PAG 150 viscosity. Would you put 20/50 weight or 60 weight racing oil in your 2019 Honda or Prius that requires 0/20 weight engine oil. Or the other way around, put 0/20 weight engine oil in your 1970 Chevy 350 1 ton pick up truck that you use for towing or pulling heavy equipment see how long your engine last it will last for a little while just like an AC compressor when you give it drastically the wrong oil. You’re not gonna get no 250,000 miles out of it that’s for sure. Do not fill up the air conditioning system by PT chart you do not use pressures that is the most inaccurate way to do it. End it will be extremely wrong depending on your fan system. The airflow varies greatly whether it’s a fixed blade fan, fluid drivelling thermal fan clutch, fix speed electric fan. To fan system or ECM controlled variable speed fan. All these differences will give you drastically different head pressure that will throw your your temperature chart readings off and will be incorrect and you will incorrectly overcharge or under charge the system resulting in poor performance like you seen in the video of only 52° and a compressor that is probably running way hotter than it should be.
