How to charge LiPo batteries (HTRC C240 Duo, 3S and 4S)

I like how you can analyze your multi cell batteries. It told mt my middle or second cell was bad. Great charger and two at once is great. Love the cooling fan and it was $86 on amazon.

So this thing doesn’t need mah numbers put into it like my old charger? You just select current and how many cells your lipo is? How does the charger know when at it is at battery capacity? Also in storage mode is there something special you do besides picking amps and cell for battery. I guess I’m having a hard time thinking/believing it is that smart by itself. Thanks

Have you guys noticed that if you use the discharge function on channel 1 that it errors out it a couple of minutes with the message "OVER Int. TEMP CUTOFF". This continues every couple of minutes requiring you to restart the process. This exact discharge function fully completes successfully on channel 2 with exactly the same parameters and cables. I am assuming that this is not the same as the Ext. TEMP CUTOFF that you can set in the user settings. I have tested this on a couple of these chargers with the same observations. Tried multiple experiments, e.g. with/without temperature probes, default External Temp Cutoff as well as adjusting this parameter. Using new or used LiPo's give the same errors. Again, it works fine on Channel 2 but not Channel 1. Just want to see if anyone else experiences this.

I am new to RC electric, I just purchased this charger, I have EC5 lipo 4s batteries coming in 2 days, The connectors on the end looks different, Can i use this charger to charge EC5 batteries?

No, I have the same charger and you need an adapter for it to plug into your ec5 battery. They are 10 bucks on amazon. Just look up ec5 to 4mm banana plug. The charger comes with a bunch of adapters but ec5( ic5 compatible) is not one of them.

Will it charge the Receiver battery 5 cell NIMH? Reason I ask is the HTRC 150 comes with that nice octopus 8 wire and I seen the connector on there but this one I dont see that connector.

It can charge NiMh batteries but I never tried that, I used it mostly for LiPo batteries and once maybe for a car battery.

Yes you have change it to charge a 3S or a 4S battery (As I see that was not shown in this video)

This charger is junk. Everyone battery almost everytime o charge then tells me "battery disconnect"

Mine is working well, another older charger of mine mentions that error. Probably in time they get damaged.

@@furulevi soem are almost new some are a few years old. I tossed it in the garbage got a new charger works great and much faster
