How to charge and discharge a LiPo battery pack with Tenergy's TB6B (with voice-over)

I've read and researched about LiPo battery care. I got this charger and a NmHd battery to start with. And want to switch to LiPo now for my rc batteries. I just couldn't wrap my head still and the description and care of the batteries just from reading. The fact that Tenergy has these vids for each mode and operation for LiPo care us a game changer for me! Having the exact model in screen with clear directions being narrated makes me feel more comfortable with LiPo care now. Thanks guys for making sure your customers can have this resource!

Thanks for this video. I'm a noob and I don't want any explosions in my apartment. Since this is my first experience with 3c batteries and I don't trust the cheap USB charger it came with. This video gave me all the info I needed.

Same here! I started with a NmHd because it was simpler. I followed Tenergy's vid for how to care for it. And now I'm switching to LiPo and was paranoid id burn down my house! Hahaha... Not anymore. These vids really do make it easy to understand proper care and use of the charger for LiPos! Good luck with yours!

Great video I got a rc car with 25c lipo battery’s they have been. Sitting for a couple months is it safe to revive them I don’t know if they are completely dead!!! I have the same smart charger you are using the batteries I have are like in a weird block. Not like yours anyhow I’m scared of fires 🔥 honestly or should I just give up and get rid of my car ????

What about a 1 cell Lipo battery?? How do you discharge them?? Also storage charge. This is why they don’t last long for me. I have so many. Either I forget or don’t have time to check every battery. Any advice would be appreciated!!! Thank You!!

5 27 24 with a plan to google for a tb6b manual more comprehensive than the one that came with it last week ... 1'st tho was to query u-t .... and your vid was at the top of the hits so was viewed. and it covered the features i was used to using with other brands of chargers. especially liked how you talked what was going on as you pushed the buttons. with your vid viewed the product manual was re-visited. and now i had confidence that the other matters it covers will be easily learned too. wish list : 1. charge max 2.0 amp 2. ability to charge 2 batt. packs at once

You follow these steps but use 3.7 volts setting since 1s is 3.7 nominal volts. I guess you set it to balance charge, although 1s doesn't need to be balanced AFAIK.

This is a good charger it lasted me 5 years and I race just about every weekend

When doing a "balance" charge on this charger at 1/3 C (5A for 15000mAh [4S3P] cells), they are as much as 10% different from each other when done, as measured with your Cell Balancer and another cell checker I have. This seems like it could easily damage the battery packs over time and might even be a fire risk. Is this within specifications, or is my TB6B faulty? Thanks.

@@TheTenergybattery I was thinking maybe the balancing rate cant keep up with the charging rate - I don't know. I should probably be using a higher power charger for these batteries anyway. Either way, thanks for following up.

I'm charging a 7.4v battery but the charger is showing 8.2v as the current capacity and the alarm never went off that it's fully charged.
