*Here's a tip for whoever wants to do the permanent mod:* If you accidentally cut the cable a little too short, you can splice two different cables together and seal the open parts with some heat shrink.

@@snow4562 Unfortunately, I don't know what it's called. I did some research and I couldn't find any, so your best bet is to buy a replacement and keep that one on standby, just in case you mess up the one that's already in the PSP

Hello! There is some problem to PSP 2000 and 3000 versions where it won't use battery power. Maybe some problem with charging IC. I only found a video in what looks like a language from Philipinnes, which unfortunately I don't understand. Do you have any information about this?

Its the same voltage. The battery will degenerate faster depending on the quality of what you buy.
