That is what I do. I just connect the cable to my phone and stick my phone on my wireless charger. Both get charged at once. Works like a charm. Will be getting a usb c brick though. Don't want to run my phone battery down.

My phone does not have power sharing feature but I can plug the watch charger directly to my phone USB-C port and it charges the watch! However, I would recommend doing this only during emergencies because you might end up with a fully charged watch but a low batt/dead phone.

Important to note that this is next to impossible with many cases that are thick and/or thick enough to hold the spen. Power Share doesn't work with my UBPro case. I could plug the USB-C charger cord into the phone but that kinda defeats the purpose, lol.

Yeah, Samsung calls them “covers” instead of cases, but yeah unfortunately it won’t work with thick cases. Thanks for making that more clear for others watching.

Fun fact, you can connect your watch charger directly to your phone if you don't have any other available power source. Phones nowadays have such big batteries that it will barely impact your phone. They are essentially powerbanks with screens, as I like to call them 😉

Do you recommend to full charge the watch daily or just between cycles eg 20% - 85% ?

If you want to maximize battery health, I think keeping it charged between 20%-80% is the recommendation.

This is what i do as well, wont break the watch no worries, but charging might be a bit slower compared to the watch's cable connected to a type C charger adapter

You should be able to use it and it shouldn’t hurt the watch (it will “know” to pass through less watts).

You didn't mention what input rating the wireless charging dock supports You didn't mention what output rating the wall adapter you used supports. These two things are very important to match or otherwise it won't work at all if an intelligent wall adapter is used which knows the connected charging device won't work. If the used wall adapter is cheap and not so smart to identify the connected wireless charging dock of your watch, it will can ruin your wireless charging dock in seconds. For example. The 45W Samsung Wall Adapter will not supply energy to a 5watt wireless dock for the Galaxy Watch.

Not sure if its still the case but wireless buds usually use a Qi or similar charging protocol where the galaxy watches use a proprietary protocol preventing regular wireless chargers from being used.

I am using my S23 Ultra to wirelessly charge it. Or I can just plug the charger that came with the watch to the USB C port of my phone.

I tried it with my watch, and plugging the usb c side of the charger into the phone’s port did result in the watch showing the charging animation. So I think you can, yes!

@vmaria07 I recommend using a power adapter most of the time, but if you are in a situation where you need a charge and don’t have an adapter, using your phone should be perfectly fine here and there.

Really don't understand why Samsung uses a USB-C Port for the watch. USB-A would have been better as smartphones also use it.

The newest Samsung wall charger adapters do not come with USB-A, they are USB-C. So they give you a cable that is compatible with their newest offered products.

@@wearablewhisperer I take it back, it actually worked 😀. The trick is to first plug the watch into the phone. Once you get the notification that the watch is charging, then you put the phone on to the pad.

You should be able to charge it with the 45W adapter (it will "know" to output less current for the watch compared to the phone).
