I have used my Tractor the past 5 years making a living. It has been very good for me. I do grading, clearing, retaining walls, drainage, catch basins running 4 and 6 inch PVC Pipe. A lot of people have water issues on their property. I do tilling to prep for sod. I have several guys work for me. I feel this is a great business but also firmly believe it is The Lord that blesses my business. If you have His Favor you can do anything. Great Video Hank. Thanks. Mark.

Been doing side hustles my entire life. I turn a good wrench and for the most part enjoy it. There are days though.... Anyway buying, fixing, and selling (or keeping) stuff has been good to me. BTW I own a manufacturing company and don't need the extra money. It's just hard wired in me to always look for a little more.

I’ve used tractors for additional income for years. Just reclaimed a pond this week, took 20 hours and 3 tractors. My primary reason for the tractors is hay in the summer but I keep them busy all year round and don’t advertise. If you do a good job the word spreads. Great video!

My tractor hustle is my day job. I don't do dirt work, mostly spread/spray and mowing. I charge by the acre. You do of course have to know your acres per hour per implement. I also get a solid amount of work from landscapers and suppliers too. Side hustle guys do seem to undercharge and devalue the business. Great video thanks!

This country and many a business were built on those very principles. Look around, see a need and invest your time and money in the equipment to fill that need while making a few dollars for yourself. It's even easier today since most people don't know how or have no desire to do those hot, sweaty and/or difficult jobs that need to be done. Great video Hank!

Hey Hank: years ago I had bought a small garden tractor and it came with a tiller. I put the till in the shed and never gave it a second thought. A few years later I started to see ads for garden tilling. Hey I can do that, so I posted an add. Within 2 days of the add coming out (newspaper). I had three jobs. That was great, now I needed a trailer to get to them. So bought a small folding trailer and off I began. That was almost 20 years ago. I now use a sub compact tractor and tiller and still love doing it. It took a few years to pay for the equipment but with planning and staying within a budget....(bigger isn’t always better) you can make some good side money and get a client base that will call year after year.

i cant tell you how many of the your videos i have watched. and i appreciate all the insight you have shared. i just ran across this video and i have also been thinking of doing a little bit of side work. i recently bought a mahindra 6065 and i bought a 62 inch big mouth grapple. but i also inherited a box blade, 5 foot shredder, 6 tiller and couple attachments. and i figured why not make some money and save it. a man not work let him not eat. my question is would mind sharing the spreadsheet that you showed in the video. it would save me a mountain of time creating one. thank for all the videos and helpful insight.

For my business here in south ga/north Fl, (Nassau county/ Charlton county) I charge $200 for the first hour then $50/hr after that. It keeps me in a good place for residential work where the big skid steer guys and larger business charge so much more. That $200 covers my drive and first hour where sometimes it's a small and simple job. I'm not bringing my whole rig out to make $50, especially if it's the only job I have lined up for the day.

Great video sir! Some quick questions. 1. Brush hogging. After you walk it there is always the unseen. So in playing with that, what can be generally the best loader attachment to deal with those things? A grapple bucket, pallet forks, or something else? 2. On the spreadsheet example with Excel, I know how to make rows and columns, fill cells with color and formulas, but in that example, at time index 3:38 look at line 51. Where it says "Ownership Cost". How do I make rows like that? I can put the formula in, but for the text like that mine will fill the bar, but when I press enter to make it, it is the normal size and only first few characters show, not the example you show here. Anyone else reading this please chime in also if you would. 3.Any recommendations on how much work, size of business I should have before needing a website to promote it and take reservations for work, or not really needed you think? 4. Brush hogging, by the hour or by the acre? A hundred bucks is the same either way for that kind of job, so which system of billing do most customers expect to be presented with? Anyway great video sir.

I’d get a grapple. It’s really versatile. Not sure how to explain #2 I’d get a website as soon as you can. The first year is really cheap like $19 I’d charge by the job. Figure out what the competition is charging and adjust accordingly. Good luck!

If you're talking about expanding the cells to get the words or numbers to be fully seen, move your mouse arrow up to the top of the cells where the location letters are (A column, B column, C column, etc.). put the mouse arrow between the letters to the right of the column you want to expand. If you put it on the line separating the columns between the letters, the arrow should turn into a horizontal arrow. When it does, double click the left mouse button and all the cells in the column should expand to fit the cell in that column with the longest text/number.

Flail mower. Specifically, embankment. There are few pro's out there to do these jobs. I have a Peruzzo hydraulic and it is a beast. It just grinds along. Nevertheless, I have run into unforeseen rocks, wires, and buried stumps and I have stressed the implement. Thank goodness it is a Peruzzo because this this is built exceptionally well. Money to be made.

Some warnings: be prepared to get screwed on payment. You do the work, walk up and ring the door bell to get paid and nobody comes to the door. You do the work and the client has a LONG list of re-dos to call it done. Then comes the 2nd list....Client tells you what to do,is there when you do it, and then claims damage to their property. Even with a side hustle it's best to have some sort of liability insurance to cover your behind: more expense to add to the list.Running naked with no insurance is a great way to lose everything you've worked your life to get.
