If u have a non removable (sealed) battery then, after opening the back find the two wires (red and black/blue) connecting the battery and the charging port. Remove those two wires from the charging port and connect them to the same colour wires of the cable after exposing the wires from the cable as shown in the video. And boom! (Worked for me)

The Lithium-Ion battery's fully charged voltage is either 4.2v or 4.4v. USB's put out between 5v and 5.2v. Overcharging a Lithium-Ion battery can cause it to explode, and/or go up in flames.

This particular way of charging ur phone w/out a charging port works very well if ur phone is the type that u can remove the battery. But if u have a sealed phone, u can't remove the back of ur phone, and u cannot remove the battery. The battery is sealed

Actually it works, but keep an eye out on the battery voltage, because 5V is more that the 4,2-4,4V those batteries get fully charged to. Also keep an eye on the current - current higher than battery capacity is very harmful for the battery. But this charging method is ONLY FOR EMERGENCIES, CUZ IT DAMAGES THE BATTERY. Maybe if you made a small charging dock that charges the battery using TP4056, you could get around, but no plugging in and using!

Holy shit holy shit holy shit this is dangerous do not do this unless you know exactly what you were doing... Lithium ion batteries (The kind used in most phones) require a special charging controller circuit that a traditional USB cable does not provide. Although it will technically charge the device there is no protection against overcharging the battery, providing the incorrect amount of voltage or current, or any number of other potential problems. Without these safeguards THE BATTERY CAN EXPLODE. The Samsung note 7, AKA the phone that would catch on fire in people's pockets had these problems in part because of a faulty charger... Please do not do this. If you're really desperate you can do the same process without connecting the battery and pray but you're still risking damage to your device but at least you aren't risking a battery exploding.

A better solution is to buy a Qi wireless charging foil that fits inside the phone. You can then use a wireless charging pad to charge the phone without opening it each time :)

I bought a universal battery charge that works for nearly all phone batteries as long as the contacts are in the end of the battery. I got it on a large online retail site for $7.99 but it isn't here yet. So, I will try this technique, which should work. To make it a bit less fussy, I'm going to try securing the wires to the battery with tape, but not covering the contacts with the tape and before plugging the charger into an ac outlet. If it doesn't work, I will update this comment.

you can run a lighter flameacross the wire insulation, about 3 full secconds, then pinch between your nails and pull the insulation off, practice with a scrap wire till you get the pressure rite, good luck

Hell yeah I've been doing this shit with Samsung's shitball Ports since 2013-2014. It works good charges and fast and if you buy Samsung you're going to be doing it or you going to be buying a new phone. No the battery won't blow up something Samsung does w the batteries makes the charging stop even when it's direct wired. One time I had a phone it was a note 4 did this after the Port went shitball as usual with Samsung, and it did this for a year until my daughter is literally broke the phone. Never once any incidents. you'll fucking get spoiled on how your phone's always charged and how it charges fast. you want to secure the hanging USB cable to the back cover was good strong tape though because when the cord gets jerked you don't want to rip those connectors out that's a bitch to get them soldered back in

Just use the two (wireless charging) contacts on the back! from there u can run the wires down to the chargong port, get the cover back on and carge it like normal. you can also get a usb Port and connect it to those cables so u don't need to connect the bare wires every time. The correct way would be replacing the charging port but for old phones u dont use daily that's the way to do it!

Yeees that's the problem I'm having with a bad port. I need to get my old phone to charge so I can get the rest of my stuff off of it cause I have a new replacement phone. If I don't bend or fold the charging cord then it won't charge. However I have it laying down with a large binder clip holding the cord at the port and the light is on showing that it's charging but it's very slowly and/or dropping the charge. sometimes it will stop charging and maybe start again. I had 19% now it's down to 13% and it scares me that I won't be able to get my stuff off this old phone before I mail it back to phone insurance because they sent me a replacement few days ago.uuugh it's so upsetting for me to have this problem because I need to hurry up and return this old phone so I'm on a time limit. Thank you for this option to split the wires but I'd be afraid to do this then plug it into an outlet? Yikes! I'm afraid of getting shocked or starting a fire. I don't play with electrical outlets. If I had the nerve to split wires and lay them as such then I would only consider plugging it into a portable charger. Uuugh this is so frustrating. But tx.

@@josepilipina6915 for starters, I think the method in the video is wrong when he says that the second from the left prong is negative, because I'm pretty sure it's the second from the right that's the negative and I worry about the wires hitting the other prongs and short-circuiting the phone. I'm trying to use AA batteries with something that sits in the phone like a battery but I need a 3D printer because my current setup with x3 AAA's only has enough power to keep the phone going for 8 minutes and I don't want to buy a lithium battery because there's not enough lithium in the world to keep using lithium like we are for another 52 years
