Another great video! If the saw runs with the fuel line like this it could also create a lean condition. As you know running a saw lean for any length of time can cause some serious damage to the piston and cylinder wall.

Hey Don hope you see this... Wondering if you could make a video on the vent line of a gas tank on a power saw. Having some trouble finding videos with Information on replacing this hose. I have a Ms 290. Thank you for all the vids, you have taught me a great deal so far. Thanks.

do you have video of fuel line replacement on Stihl 064 & 066 - 088 ? most of what you show is on smaller saws, or do you get any of the bigger saws to work on? your vids are great though even if for the smaller saws!

donyboy73 I've got a sthil 029, it starts runs then dies, it also dies after it's been running for some time and is hot it dies and then it won't start. It also makes a popping sound on tick over after it has been used for a while. I took it for a service last year but the mechanic didn't sort the problem as it came back from the shop with all the same problems minus £60 of my cash. Its a good saw when it runs and has plenty of power

Hi, I bought a Stihl FS85 3-4 years old unit last week. when i start the unit in cold start choke settings it never starts, when i start the in warm choke it starts but run directly on high rpm and wont go to idle run. also because it runs on high rpm the throttle control doesn't work at all. so to reduce the speed i have to move (slide) the choke to reduce the speed. i have checked the s plug which was clean. i changed the fuel as well but no Joice. I am a newbie and not sure abt the problem

Are you still active ? I have a 193t Stihl . I think the lines may be cracked . I’m getting fuel to the carb but no fuel coming out of the impose line. Also I replaced the the carb with a fairly used one and still no gas to the impose line

Hey Dony We have a Stihl Wood Boss 028 AVS. My dad owned since new, probably in the 80's. Lately it has a hard time to stay running at idle once it warms up. It continuosly stalls at idle once warm, and is becoming hard to start. Replaced plug, air filter is clean, removed and cleaned carb, but not much difference... Next step was to inspect fuel line and impulse line, and was told possibly the ignition coil or module could be on its way out. I cant seem to track down proper parts! Everything shows 028 or 028 AV. Are these compatible with the 028 AVS? Or what are the differences? Thank you Im located in Eastern Ontario

I don’t understand why you were pushing that hose on the pulse port of that carburetor. The fuel inlet is the other black barbed end.

Would a clogged fuel line cause my chainsaw to run for a few seconds and stall
@johnclarke66473 жыл бұрын
I dump the gas out of the tank and pressure test the fuel line, filter, tank vent and gas cap by pressurizing the fuel line with 7# and watching the gage on my MightVac.the gas line, tank, etc, better hold the pressure or I get the soapy water spray out and find out what is leaking.

Kind of a shame the pre molded fuel lines . Maybe easier to use sometimes, but makes cost and ease of finding harder.
