How to check and change a carburetor diaphragm of any motorcycle (pulsar 150)

In this video you will learn how to check and change the diaphragm of carburetor on any motorcycle. If you want you can replace the diaphragm while the carburetor is on the motorcycle , but i recommend to completely remove the carburetor and then replace the diaphragm.
To access the diaphragm you need to open the cover by unscrewing it then remove the spring. Hold the diaphragm from the side and lift it up , the slide assembly will come out . Now inspect the diaphragm rubber for any punches and stretch it to see if its hard or not and also for any kind of deformation as it causes leakage.
If you found any of the above problem in the diaphragm rubber then consider it to replace. Before replacing you need to remove the old one and for that first take out the plastic ring lock then hold the diaphragm and pull it out from its groves. Brought a new diaphragm according to your motorcycle .
Before installing the new diaphragm its important to clean its seat with the help of throttle body cleaner and wipe it down with a piece of cloth. Now install the new diaphragm by holding and pulling then place it on the grove where it sits . Make sure the new diaphragm sits properly on its seat , if not then wiggle it to adjust. After that place back the plastic ring lock and then install it back to the carburetor.

well you can try , i am not sure if all share the same diaphragm , but as for as i can tell the bigger the cc get the size of diaphragm also gets bigger , so for avenger 220 the diaphragm size will be bigger then the diaphragm size of pulsar 150 , if you going to try the pulsar one then let me know too if it fits or not

I’ve a query. I started my Pulsar 220 after over 2yrs. Since it didn’t start even after changing the spark plugs, the mechanic opened and cleaned the entire carburettor. Though the bike seems to be running fine, the RPM is fluctuating slightly ever since when at idle. My main issue is that the RPM rises to 2200 when the bike is at halt position in traffic and the throttle isn’t applied at all. Generally it should be at 1000-1100 RPM. Can you please tell what could be the exact cause of this problem? My mechanic said to replace the carburettor which I don’t want to as I feel it can be fixed without replacement. Would really appreciate your reply. Thanks 😊

first check if the accelerator cable is ok or stuck then check the ideal screw ,if nothing happens then set tappet clearance and then set the fuel mixture screw , if problem still there then inspect the diaphragm and slide

may be or may not be , you have to check everything started from spark plugs ( check there condition and gap ) , check / clean carburetor and check the diaphragm too in this process and if still facing the problem then the problem is related to tappet or compression pressure

One more thing, in my bike(pulsar 200dtsi,old modal) all the lights stoped working.in sort. Everything stoped working, no light, horn, indicator, self, metterbox, even break light, stoped working...but i came up withe an idea, i short 2 terminals of starter relay and it start, however any of the electric components are not working, I've try changing the RR unit, but it didn't worked, what could B the problem..

sorry koi no nahi hai nahi koi address , pickup ki problem hai to jets ko clean karo , air fuel mixture ko clean karo , or tape set karo , millage bhi apne aap sudhar jayegi , or haan air filter bhi ache se clean ya replace karo , speed ekdum se increase ho jati hai to throttle cable bhi check karlo
