Thank you for such an informative and educational video. My parents and I recently purchased an older Class C RV and I'm learning how to do this stuff. Thank you so much! Your RV turned out really cute!

I also purchased an '81 class C 20 footer and learning about this. The weight of the heavier vehicles is something to consider. I plan on taking mine to have it weighed.

It's a good video. I'm very surprised to see all the leaves on the bus, a lot. I have only 6/7 leaves

Currently Amazon doesn't show these but you can do a google search for Xtra Seal 8 1/4" Metal Braided Flexible Valve Extension. It shows up at various auto parts stores.

You may want to find a dump or metal recycling center somewhere that has a scale and will let you weigh it. The door sticker is an erroneous number. I paid just five bucks to use the scale and I am aware my bus weighs 7,700 lbs. The tire valve stems thing with the duallies is absolutely horrible. Nothing but pain. However the enjoyment the bus provides is worth it, and the stability on the highway too. Ive had single rear wheel vans and they were all over the road, this thing feels like its on a train track.

Interesting info. May I ask if duallies are more stable because wind forces are less likely to swerve van? Or is it while changing lanes or other driving issues? Also are we talking about 12 feet vans and/or 24 feet vans with high tops? I'm looking into various types of vans (mini, Ford econoline, GMC, Dodge, Sprinters, low top, high top, Class B, Class C) Thank you

@@acemoto2319 i had an express van which was a low top and single rear wheels, and now an e350 which has a high top and dual rear wheels. i notice alot better stability. as far as wind forces i am not certain how those occur, i would make an educated guess that there is a variety of turbulences that occur on the highway from changing wind direction and caused by other vehicles, maybe even road imperfections that can upset the suspension and geometry of the vehicle and tires

And take a wire brush/wheel to this rims and triple coat with primer/paint to stop that rust.

Great idea! I'm looking at my rusted wheels everyday and wondering if I need to buy new rims or new vehicle :-) Very simple solution is to prime/paint them :-) Brilliant! May I ask what kind of primer and/or paint is best in your experience? Thanks Louis

These are notorious for leaking. Stay away from the braided lines The clip you showed snaps easily and will damage the tire

Question: I just spent about $4K for 6 new Michelin tires. I have a TST Color TPMS with flow through. I told the tire guys what I needed for the sensors AND STABILIZERS but when I got home I found the inner duel about 1/2" short both sides. Also the extension on one side was noticeably loose and the stabilizer was incorrectly positioned and I was unable to take a pressure reading. I took the stabilizer out and found the extension was noticeably loose so I turned it about a turn ± and tightened the valve core about a half turn. I could now take a reading OK and it was within a 1/2PSI of the other tires. It was a 4 1/2" extension. NOW THE REAL QUESTION: I have found a 5 1/2" extension but have found many cautions on Ytube about using the stabilizer properly. This length will accommodate the TST Flow thru sensors Now - can I use Loctite Blue applied to the extension inner threads to lock the extension? Or should I use the Red? Or whatever other solutions do you have that are tried and true?

I made my own flat plastic stabilizers and did not use Loctite on mine. When I tried using the stabilizers that the extensions came with they failed resulting in tire pressure loss and extension loss on at least one. The ones I made are working fine therefore I can't advise you on which type of Loctite to use. On a side note I have used the blue for other applications and it works well.

Never waist your time with the blue. If you want something to stay use the "stronger" of the 2 red. If the threads are permanent then the cost of replacing it when you replace your tires is a great piece of mind... Any thumping noises and stop to check between duels. Sometimes a large rock will get stuck between tires... the extra vibration (I'm assuming) could cause a failure.
