Finally...a video where somebody actually checked and filled the duals instead of just talking about it. Props and thanks. Instant subscribe

Great video. Just a suggestion get the valve caps from Love's and you won't have to take the caps off to air your tires. You can get a pack for 10 bucks.

Good stuff, in a pinch y’all can use air in fuel lanes. But I recommend at night when it’s not to busy.

Waiiiiit, so you’re actually filling your tires just using the air compressor running off the engine?! Dude that’s awesome!
@DreTrades5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's what all truckers do. We never have to worry about air but not all truckers have the air hose. They run about $30 bucks.
@dretrades24 жыл бұрын
105 is the recommended psi
@dretrades24 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I never tried to pump higher than 105 so I don't know. It seems like it shouldn't be a max psi because we are using air that operates the trailer. That has to be steady pressure or the trailer brakes would apply.

Most trucks come standard with gator caps on the tires. just push on the end of the cap if it moves in then you don't have to take the cap off to check and adjust your pressure. If you don't have them they are pretty cheap at any of the truck stops.
@DreTrades8 жыл бұрын
+G G I don't have them. But good idea to buy some though

It’s. Callled a glad hand air line hose or just air line hose ?

Cruise control on and rev it to 8k rpm . It stays on.. rpm just recommended for oil pressure and fan to come on up if it gets hot.👌👍recommended ppl

What is the size of your tyres that can absorb 100psi
@DreTrades Жыл бұрын
I don't know off hand. It's the typical tires for a tractor trailer though. The psi is usually 95-105 on tractor trailer tires.

🤦♂️😁🤦♂️I was just waiting for the part to show the wrong gauge because of the angle...good thing you pointed it out, I run mines at recommended max pressure 120.. over weight all the time.. about 85000 average 🤑😁👌🤦♂️📈🤺

I heard that you have to work for 1 years to be able to do a lease purchase with them is that truth ???
@travisbickle54478 жыл бұрын
I was going to say, probably get better MPG with the correct air pressure, but as trucks seem to do around 7MPG, you would be hard pressed to notice any difference. great video though.
@truckerrickakamanowar6 жыл бұрын
Travis Bickle true but I think more about stability with heavier steer loads. You don't want under inflated steers.

About how much time should it take to add 10 psi?
@DreTrades3 жыл бұрын
Probably about 5 min. Lol. Sorry. Just seeing this
@Senkino5o3 жыл бұрын
Depends on your compressor/inflator and the pressure. Most compressors will have to be adjusted as their cut in (when the compressor will start to fill its tank) may be set around 85-100psi, it will then fill to the cut out which might be 115 or 120, but if your tire is over the cut in (88psi for example) then the compressor will never switch back on again and it will either take a long time to or you won't be able to inflate your tire all the way. A lot of trucks may recommend up to 110psi so you want to set your compressor cut in above that and the cut out anywhere up to 135-150 if possible. If your air line is 1/2" and at 100 psi it will fill a tire which is at 20psi very quickly, if that tire were at 95psi it would probably take a long while to get to 100 with that same tank/fill pressure.

So in the real world, say driving local, are you expected to check pressure of all 18 tires and top any off during every pre-trip inspection? That seems like it'd take a bite out of the day.
@bennyblanco40543 жыл бұрын
It only takes about 5 mins to check each tire compare to 2hours minimum for road service to come plus time to change it..
