How to check if your degree is recognised in Germany| Navigating Germany's Anabin database 2023

The fact that a degree at a university is not listed does not necessarily mean that it does not exist there. If in doubt, a look at the homepage of the institution can help. I graduated from University of Ibadan. It is globally recognized but I couldn't find it listed here.

And do you work here in Germany? Once your university isn't listed here then your process takes a longer time than when it is.

@@idowu3108 I don't think listing institutions will make it faster, it about verification process response. UI can reply within 1 week and listing institutions can take longer to respond. Anyway patience is needed doing the process.

@@LeedhospitalityGuesthouse I never said that listing makes the process faster, it’s just easier to see the name in Anabin and they go from there, I said not being in the list makes the process longer because then they’ll have to find out about your university when they could have just done straightforward in Anabin.

@@LeedhospitalityGuesthouse I did it and my university is listed in Anabin and I got my recognition in 1 week, the one week that your UI will use to reply, I got my recognition in that same time frame because they didn’t need to contact my school.

@@idowu3108 You are missing my point here, if your qualification is from Nigeria it has to be verified even if it appears on listed institutions. So the time frame is different, just because your institution is listed does not give them the autonomy not to send for verification process. While I understand your point, the pre-degree of positive outcome it evidence based. I guess you know some people will submit fake documents.

Very helpful. I have a question though, I can find my degree in section Suche nach Abschlusstypen but not in the section Suche nach Abschluss. Is that an issue ?

Hello Doc! If its equivalent and checks out just like your Romanian Med Uni does that mean you will get the Approbation ( full license to practice) without writing the kenntnisprufung provided that everything else is in order. Language level B1, Medical german C1 and you passed your Fachsprachenprüfung . The University is not in the EU/EEA its in a 3rd Country.

Fsp is for temporary licence which last 2 years ... Without KP, you don't get a permanent licence. No matter what you have, KP is important for all IMG, it's FSP that some could skip

i have heard that you have to check two things; the university status which needs to be H+ for fully recognized and the degree title that means my 4 years BS in software engineering. i am confuse about the degree part. So just to clear, we need to check if my 4 years BS is listed in the university degree section and should have status A4 which means my degree (any title like software or civil etc) is equivalent to 3 years of German BS ?? do we need to check if my software engineering is listed in the degrees listed in university section ??

Hi Doc, when I checked my Uni in institutions, it is H+. But if I looked into more details of it . I could see there is part named degrees, and it mentioned that degree type is Bachelor only , while I had Master.What does it mean? Thank you

Residency is an individual process in Germany and isn't started simultaneously by everyone.

Hello. I am graduating with an unrecognized diploma in Dubai (my diploma type/curriculum is not mentioned anywhere including ANABIN-DAAD-KMK-UNIASSIST .....
